My friend scored an extra free ticket, so I’m going to the fights tonight! Woohoo! I’ll see if I can get some pics with the UFC talent and/or ring girls!
I picked water over Fresca about 30 minutes ago…ending up giving the soda to my web developer. It’s killing me - but I’ve got to start really getting serious about cutting soda out of my diet.
OK, somewhere between here and there, my cardio has turned into dogsh!t !!! Time to get back on track - with all this bulk and mass/strength training, you’d think that my current lo-high workout would help with cardio…not so. I mentioned earlier that I’ve been having trouble sleeping and now that I think about, I’ve been waking up really early and then going back to sleep just to wake up 30-45 minutes later feeling groggy and crappy.
Well, that 30-45 minutes is going to be utilized differently from now on. I’m going to leave the warm comfort of my bed and start running in the morning. Ok, so the first week, it’ll be more like jogging down the block and back - but dammit, I gotta start somewhere!! See you early birds out there…just don’t run me over! <gulp!>
…atleast that what the credit manager observed this morning - made a comment about how I looked like I didn’t get much sleep last night and sadly enuff, they were right! I had freaking acid reflux most of the night (which is pretty unusual) - I tell ya, cheat meals just aren’t worth it…especially when you do a 3-day weekend full of them! D’oh!
Ok, so I also missed out on lifting yesterday, which means I double up on my efforts this week, so I don’t miss any lifts.
I’m also thinking about getting to bed much, MUCH earlier - I had the zombie feeling during the day and I just know that it’s hurting my lifts in the evening.
OK, I just woke up from a two hour nap - feeling really groggy….moping around - first thing: protein shake…L-Glutamine tablet, followed by a caffeine tablet. Time: 4:00PM
You see, I woke up this morning with my guts turned inside out - so I called into work and did work from home, which involved creating and answering 75% of my emails from the toilet!!! LOL!
About 30 minutes ago, I had a familiar crossroads - the little voice inside of me saying: "Go ahead and call Jason and Nick and cancel lifting tonight."
The bad part is, my fingers started fumbling for my phone…then I remembered what we were doing tonight: low high reps with single sets of 50 for triceps….back and biceps for the rest. In all honesty, a brutal workout.
Sitting in my bed as I type this blog…knowing that in about 1 hour I’ll be exactly where I need to be:
