2009…Will we continue on the Path?

Well 2009 is here.  Holy smokes!!!  2008 brought me many new adventures.  From getting a 87 on my Air Force Pt test(9 point improvement for last year), entering my first bodybuilding show and take 3rd in light heavy weight, and then winning the middle weight division in the fall.  So in other words I hope 2009 brings out the best in me like 2008 did.

The same goes for everyone else out there who walks in with a goal in mind.  We have all made killer changes this past year and lets see if 2009 is just as badass?

So now that I have the FLU.  Training has come to a stand still.  This shit sucks.  I was hitting the weights hard and making the solid gains I wanted.  Then I wake up feeling like I got smacked in the face.  Ok I think this is just me bitching but **** I HATE to be sick and I am pretty sure we all do when it pulls us out of the gym from 3 days to almost a week.  Lets hope with all this sneezing and caughing my abs continue to get one hell of a work out.  Dont get sick!!!!

Max Week is Over

January 2, 2008

This was one of the best weeks for the gym I could have asked for.  I hit weights I could only dream about lifting.  I suprised my self.  I know at one time or another you have done the same.  I used the one rep calculator on this site.  It was some what close to what I was at.  I was able to destroy my goals.  Now I am able to get the proper weights for reps and sets to make myself grow.  For all of those who checked out my stats.  Thanks.  Keep up the good work and remember we own the gym. 

Max OUT Week

Well I have this thing I do.  Every 6 months or so I Max out.  Shoulder Press, Squats, Bench Press and Dead lift.  The last time I did all of this was over 2 years when I was in the middle east.  But I was a fat body and not like I am now.  Just watch the Charts go up from my one rep guess.  This is great and like we all read about in every muscle mag find out what your one rep max is.  To see where we are at to gage what weight we should be using.  But mostly to feel proud of what we have accomplised for our selves.

Why is the gym like a drug

Here is what I love about lifting.  Its the best drug on the market a healthy natural HIGH.  Its great!!!  Just to see the changes everyone on this site has made and what I have been able to accomplish.  As we can tell we want more and more.  Were not like crack heads looking for the high and losing our familes to some crap like that.  Trying to find the fool who owes us money or evading the police.  We live each day to be better for us mentally, physically, and emotionally.

How in the hell do explain how we get sick????  Ok I know I sounds retarded for me to write this but here is how I look at it.  It takes us out of the gym slaps our progress in the face and we have to take about 3 or days or more off to get better.  I am now getting over what ever the hell I have.  I sucked I gained 2 lbs and I just felt like walking death.  The worst part is being the Military.   Call in sick with my job.  HAHA is the reply and get your ass on patrol.  No time to get better just ride it out.

I am done bitching and have about 2 weeks until I can hit my goal of 200 lbs I have set for my self.  Maybe the cold was and is a test of pure determination.

Well the past couple of days I have come to realize…….Some people should not be in a gym if all they do is spend more time walking around and not picking up weights.  This is the person who loads up a bar with weight looks at it and then leaves.  Or even better!  Stands in the area your working out in just watching you like a PERVERT or something.  WTF!?!?!?  Every once and a while you’ll catch them doing some exercise with the worst form ever.  Sure they are in there trying to make a change but come on!  They should be watching a Richard Simmons work out at home tape.  Sounds like the last funny dressed or the person looking for attention as they yell with 5lbs in there hand.   

Like I said before and I’m saying it again, we are all on a personal mission to better ourselves.  So, just rememeber dont be that "Person."

To all my Brothers and Sisters who continue to kick the shit out of the IRON and BEAT DOWN the cardio equipment keep it up.

Have you ever seen the guy/girl how is looking for attention….  You know the person who lifts more then what they can yelling and grunting with the worst form ever.  Most off they are wearing some of the worst outfits.  80’s style spandex or some other type of circus clown suit.  The shit’s is not cool.

But here is the truth behind all of this shit talking I am doing.  I have really noticed on this site is everyone of us has a goal weather it’s to gain muscle, drop weight or do some kind of contest.  We go into the gym for a single purpose and with a clear mind of what we are going to do and how we are going to get it done.  Too be stronger, bigger, faster, and/or thinner then the days prior.  Those are some of the goals we have set for ourselves.  Let the the changes to our bodies do all the yelling and grunting!!  To all of you who view my page THANKS and KEEP kicking ass in the gym.  For gods sake don’t be the guy I just described.

PT Results

I kicked the test’s ASS.  I did great in my eyes.  Their are people out there who are faster in the run, but I can get the time down.  But I did 60 push up (Max 57) and 58 sit ups (53 Max).  The run was 12:45.  More then 2 minutes off my last test. My waist was the best for me.  When I was at 250lbs in January sitting on a fat 41 inch waist.  Now I am at a 34.  Just 2 more inches and I will hit my goal.  But I think I want to get to a 30 inch or less.  Can it be done?  I think so.

Sorry it took so long to post the results for all of you who were interested. 

 

Just found out about a PT test

Its been a year now from my last test.  Lets see a 39 inch wasit, 50 push ups, 48 sit ups, and the run lets just say it was not pretty.  Thank god I had a buddy help me out to pass.  I was in the 24 and under bracket, but now I just moved up to the 25-30 bracket now with a different set of standards, but I am still going to take the test on like I am in the 25 and under bracket.  I look and feel nothing like I did a year ago.  Lets see how much well I can do now.  Wish me luck and I will post out the results on the night of November 1st
