People actually read these blogs of mine?? Wow!!!

For weeks now I have babbled aimlessly with no direction other than to hear the sound of my own voice (well, words, actually, my own words, being typed), and low and behold many a good people have told me they actually read what I have to say! Furthermore, these same guys and gals (and gems all alike) have said they like what I have to say! This is news to me, and I have nothing other than to say I am sorry! Sorry if you ever felt shorted by what I have to say…etc…

So, moving forward with these little blogs of mine, these small tid bits of my head spilling out onto the internet highway like those of a Possum crossing a road at night and meeting the front end of (fill in your favorite automotive vehicle here, but I don’t suggest a motorcycle, or you may get your boots dirty)…. these bits of personal experience will be more well rounded, more well written, and more…well… just more. had I known people cared about what this small town dude with no fashion sense had to say I would have been talking a lot more a lot earlier…but it is never too late to start!!

So, topics? Give me topics, in here, or in the chat (I always go by justin, not Justin, not JUSTIN, just justin), what are you interested in hearing? If I have life experience regarding it, if I actually have a real clue, not just a small nugget of knowledge I stole from someone else online and pawned it off on you, I will elaborate….

    Okay, based on your experience, do you recommend the 1.5-2 grams of protein per body weight like it is typed OVER AND OVER in magazines, or less. Also, how much protein do you recommend be consumed after a workout?

    My reason is, I just saw a dietitian today and she said I was eating way too much. My concern was not calories, but protein. Trying to consume the 200-250 ‘recommended’ amount. She says I only need to consume 100 grams for my weight. What would you recommend?

    I don’t normally ask for help, but now Im dumbfound and yes, you ‘type’ like you know what your talking about. Some interesting thoughts you have. Any advice would help.

    MAGL my rule of thumb, and it will always be this way, is that as long as you eat clean, quality REAL FOODS then the exact amount of Protein you consume is not relevant to your results (in terms of size, mass, strength…etc.).

    I say the 2g per lb. is far too much! 1-1.5 g. per lb. in bodyweight has always worked for me, but I consume mostly natural foods, steak in particular! There is no substitute (in the bang you get for your buck) for steak! It is lean, thick, tasty, and good for the muscles! I’m not saying eat all steak everyday amigo, just suggesting you boost the intake up a bit!

    Eat every 2-2.5 hrs, with a 40-40-20 split (meaning 40% pro, 40% carbs, 20% fat, all based on your weight), and you should be just fine!
