ok progress for August 31st 2007

Weight 174, but yesterday pre-surgery I was 172!

Workout:

I got off the couch a few times. Plus my 5 and 3 yr old have decided [b]NO [/b]is the word of the day….and I do not spank….I am reconsidering it tho  ;D

Eats:

I am all bloated and yucky feeling and I don’t think I like these drugs too much.
All I have had for "food" is cookie and cream PP with coffee. I was thinking about eating a banana but decided against it. So far in the last 48 hours I had the fries and the coffee……so operation super model is well under way.

I am bored….so I took some pics LOL Can you see the new hair colour or not? I deleted the background because I have given up cleaning for percocet….

Calories were …ok calories were I dunno. I ate clean but I ate when hungry and did not eat when not hungry..amazing concept I know…I shall take that concept to the highest hills of America and preach it to the people and they will listen and be enlightened…..and still eat at McDonald’s dollar menu and biggie size their choices.

Workout was basic

Fronts heavy 5×5

95-115-125-135-145 145 Is my highest so far with fronts. On the last set last rep my body thought it was going to actually sit down….I had to convince my legs to push me back up..I consider that a good sign :)

Fronts Light 3×8

95-95-95 Ya know when I am almost 90 degrees I can see the sweep of my quads….I consider that ALSO a good sign since I am a chick and they should not be that lean yet….freak legs….

Good Mornings 3×8

65-65-85 My shoulder still thinks these are tolerable but I don’t think it is a choice moves. I think I will do lunges instead.

ok so funny story…..the other day someone asked me if I was 100% Irish (for the record I am 100% American minus the ignorance and large waist line) I told this person..no actually my dad found a Jewish member to our direct line so I am Jewish and Irish. Ok so follow me here..this person looked at me…blinked and said..being Jewish is a religion not a ethnicity…to which I replied no it is not..so she asked me..in 100% genuine cocky "I am right you are wrong tone "Ok so where do Jews come from? JEEEEW?????"

Seriously, ok what?? For real?? Did I just hear that? I said…um…Jerusalem… she said some other really ignorant stuff to follow which I won’t bother typing up for the risk of blisters on my fingers (Hi Ringo) or the fact it was so damned ignorant it was embarrassing….

I can’t tell you who this person is because I have not taken my morning meds and paranoia prevents me from admitting who she is……I just really needed to share this with you, my therapy group.

As I fall asleep at night I hear "where do they come from then, JEEEEWWW!??!?"

Ok I am so excited about today’s workout I decided to post a day early..tho not really a day early since it is the same day….still with me?

First food because I am a creature of habit

Cals today (August 27th 2007) *damn it yes I had to look again to find out the damn date*

Cals 2037 *whoah out of control…still too low to be maintenance but well, work with me

Carbs 193 which included 2 fudge striped keebler elf products *the box says cookie but my mouth says otherwise

WORKOUT FOR AUGUST SOMETHING OR ANOTHER 2007

Ok so I load up my warm up as 135. The guy with the large arms and small legs doing cable bicep curls starts to watch me and raises one eye brow as I load a plate a side. I refrain from telling him  "Sit down, Son this is just the warm up" I mean for all i know he has an injury and can ONLY do bicep curls.  When I pull them up easily he returns to his 15th set of curls. By the time I got to 255 he walked by and gave me the chin nod "Whassup" letting me know I have reached acceptance amongst the bicep curl community of which he is the Alpha bicep curler. He left before I did my 275 "SCREW YOUR DAMN BICEP CURL TRIBE" set….

Ok so I asked Bob Stranger to hand me the 50 LB DB’s to do my 3rd set. He was helpful but cold…I did not want to cuddle or talk hair so I was ok with that…plus he was bald….So, I did my work. As I was finished with my 3rd set (previously mentioned weight of 50 but in case you missed it let me remind you) I noticed ANOTHER skinny guy doing bicep curls…he watched me set down my 50 pounds and then he wiped his forehead with his shirt to display all his abs…swear I saw 8….but he was skinny so wtf? I also noted he was not sweaty…so in an attempt to maintain his masculine bicep curling status amongst my incline press he had to do a manly display…is this like peeing on something? If it is I would like to personally thank him for not peeing on the DB’s. Anyway, i felt pretty good doing 2 sets of the 50’s. My son was my lifting partner and he let me kinda sit at that sticky point a little too long on the 4th rep of the 4th set (OMEN!?!?) so I had to go to the 45’s for the final set….maybe if I do more bicep curls I will be able to do more weight next week……

Nothing exciting can be said for the peck deck aside from you can sit and watch all of your muscles move. I got a little carried away staring at a new vein and some striations…ok wel maybe that was ok but I did make a gorilla noise as well….by then the bicep curling had ceased and I was alone in that moment….my son laughed at me……

It was such a beautiful day….oh and I got my hair cut and colored *blushes like a little girl*

OOps want an update? Well, not much to say……

Ok so I am on maintenance right now. I have surgery for somehting on Thursday so I was advised to not eat in a deficit…telling me to nit eat in a deficit is like hading a teenage girl a credit card and saying "Only in an emergency may you use this card"

I had some nachos yesterday and some cookies as well. I made them both so the nachos were with ground turkey breast….but the cookies were not….but the cookies were also what main street America would consider a cookie..whole wheat, oats and applesauce..but SCREW YOU I LOVED THEM!!!

Works are on plan and no records were broken…well none by me that is. I am sure somewhere during the course of the weekend someone broke a gun chewing or "legs behind the head hold" world record…I did not do either of those.

Alright, how uneventful was yesterday..let me see…food was boring…I have zero appetite. ZERO..i am all oh yeah I should eat….I am having some health concerns right now and surgery is next week to repair it (I hope) so it could be from the pain associated with the health issue, it could be from all the ****ing pain meds I am popping like candy (they are not candy kids!) or the fact all those times I have envied the determination of anorexics has finally shined its glorious skinny assed karma upon me. *hallelujah chorus is sung softly in the background*

Eats for August 23rd in the year of our lord…ok 2007..but writing the date out is boring as I have mentioned.

Cals 1603 * those last 3 calories I should not have had…it has pushed me over the edge and I know it..i can see those three calories on my left pinky toe..working their tiny way towards my hips….that is almost one full gram of carbohydrates….
Fat 64* I seem to average around 60 now and my reputation for low fat has been abolished. I am cleansed and born anew.

Carbs 133 *eh not to bad..I think I will give carbs up for lent…can I do that this soon.or wait I guess it would be this late….I am just sick of them as they are of me. The magic is gone, the lustful relationship we had now tainted by the water logged bloat of the morning after.

Protein 126 *hands head in shame….no flexing now……

120-110-120 I did this for my shoulder because pulling up fat chicks bugs it.

Military Press (HUGE MISTAKE)

70 felt easy, I had a hand off so I was not rotating my shoulders behind me(who designed this effing shoulder press?) so I went for 90 on second set…..I intended to feel out the arm with this…I felt it, it tazed and dialed 9-1-1.  This concluded my weight portion of the workout. I tried to finish shoulders but when I went to db’s and just carried a 35 lbr to my seat my shoulder was filling out the police report…..

HIIT 20/40 for 5 minutes and then SS for 13…why 13 I dunno :)

Ok first things first….eats for August 21st 2007

(ok I know I said first things first but I wanted to admit that each and every time I type the date I have to first check the computer to see if the date is right…and that includes the fact I have to type it 2x in each blog….*drool*)

Total Cal-a-rooies 1843

Fat was a measily 52 but I am ok with that :D

Carbs 154…I ate a banana and some jam to bump up those effers.

Protein 183 which oddly is close to my real goal weight of 185 and 15% BF….Mama always said I was a big girl :)

115-115-135-135 Funny thing about the mind. James (other trainer, please see my myspace for pictorial ladies you will not be sorry )came over for my second set of 135’s and asked me how much I was fronting and i replied "115" to which he kindly enlightened me that since I added 10 pounds a side that it is 135…..I was having no problems with form or anything when I THOUGHT it was only 115…ah the mind..a terrible thing I waste. I covered my ass with coolness and said I don’t count ten pound plates.

Fronts 3×8

Since this is my lighter set I did REAL 115’s with no issues or regrets..*thinks fondly of 115 front squats* ???

Good Mornings 3×8

45-65-85 the last one put some pressure on the shoulder rotation. Not sure if I would ever go up in weight. I need to find a portable glute ham raise thing to bring with me to work….doesn’t sound remotely feasible does it……

editing in because I forgot to mention I did EIGHT MINUTES of 8 seconds of glory followed by 10 min SS! EIGHT MINUTES BITCHES!

Ok career wise at work right now is cool. I was asked to lead a circuit class for 60 sailors. I was recommended to this boat from another chief on a different boat.  I am developing a good reputation as a trainer and fitness specialist there…..maybe one day we won’t have fat sailors anymore *dreamy eyed stare*

BACK TO WORK!

I was VERY happy with my workout last night! Very pleased with the complements to my leaning out as well. I like it when it feels like things are actually progressing. When it seems like you are just treading water it can be very refreshing to see a shoreline on the horizon!

Omron is pissed at me right now for the lower carb weekend and the scale has no idea who I am anymore.  I know they are both lying to me from time to time, but those moments when we connect are like friggen magic and I just can’t stop seeking that high from them. I think they need a scale hotline for people like me to call….

"I am thinking about using the scale again. I just used it 20 minutes ago but I have peed 3x now…"

"Ma’am do you have anyone you can go to, a safe place where there is no scale?"

*sigh*

Cals- 1688 (for a reason I kept them slightly lower)

Aiight!!

Ok so minor updates…Friday workout was excellent. I did 225 for my 5×5 RDL’s which I am SUPER excited about….once I am able to lift while fed I should be able to move mid size sedans….maybe I will be hired as a parking lot attendant.

Eats were "ok" this weekend. I did not go as low as 45 g carbs because we had company all weekend….we have birthday party after shocks here.

Scale is at 175 right now so I am going to call it a 10 pound fat loss in 5 weeks time…give or take the start weight and scale fluctuations.  Omron read 18% Saturday morning before lowering carbs which is damn cool as well!

So, it is back to Monday and I am ready to slam this week down as well!

Nothing impressive but I got it done

Yesterday’s eats and workout are pretty routine. I think I need to change my workout around just a bit because I "have it" and own it and want it slightly different. Nothing major just different bar use or something…..tho my workout partner is gone for 2 weeks and maybe I just miss having someone lifting with me. I will place an ad with craigslist for a temporary stand in lifting partner ;)

Fat 68 *this was an effort here so I had more salted nuts….which sucks because I wanted the scale to go back down. Shopping today for avafriggencados.

All in all I have the eats down perfectly now. I own this. I may just keep leaning out till we can see my pulse radiate thru my veins……not a very attractive thought in reality but sounds cool,eh?

Workout for August 16th 2007

Pulling up Fat Men 5×5

Pretty cool because I can set the bar higher and higher for more challenge. Palms face me so my biceps will match Ronnie Coleman’s. (off season of course, i am realistic with this goal)

One Arm Lat Pulldown 3×8

Self assisted on the left arm for the last few….self assisting myself is pretty easy now and I don’t feel awkward admitting it anymore or doing it in public……I am pretty sure this means I need to join a support group…a self lead one of course…..

Seated Shoulder Press 5×5

I need to mention in my craiglist ad for a partner that I am in DESPERATE need of a spot for shoulder stability…..I can’t self assist here because sadly I was born with only 2 arms.

Lateral Raise 3×8

I did these with one arm at a time and no rest at all….cuz dats how I roll.

HIIT 20/40 for SEVEN MINUTES BABY!!! Followed by 10 minutes of biking for dollars.
