Daily Update

I have a knot in my middle trap today. I always get that when my 3 yr old sleeps in our bed. I put her back in her bed 3x but she kept coming back. I am hoping I will still be doing cleans tonight at the gym regardless of the knot.

Last nights I did my weight class and then later did my own weights as well as a 10 minute HIIT. I wanted to do HIIT for 15 minutes but DAMN I had nothing left in my legs at ALL! I think it was from the 1 hour weight class and then my own upper body workout.

I did notice on the “pec deck” that I was using a higher weight than the in shape guy who used it before me. I love that! I don’t think my back is as strong as it should be but that may be that all the back moves are with a pull not a push and my shoulder still hates to pull heavy weights.

All 6 meals yesterday were clean.

No change in the scale at all.

Still at it

Chicken for the week just came off the grill. I must say, I can grill a bad ass chicken boob! I first take the breasts and soak them in salted ice water for 30 minutes. Then I take the breasts and marinate them for about 10 minutes in South Beach’s Italian dressing. I never over grill the chicken anyway but this marinade sequence keeps it VERY flavorful!!! Anyway….

I have my protein shake all packed for after my weight workout tonight. I used chocolate p.p. and vanilla milk along with some slice strawberries and bananas. I added only enough milk to make it liquid but not to be a real “drink” Then I put it in my freezer to set up. Ileen gave me the idea for this…thanks !!

I am focused and ready for another week of workouts etc. I need to start meditating on my goals when I go to bed. I use to lay in bed and as I fell asleep I would envision the look i was working towards. This always helps me stay on track for the plan.

Does anyone else eat watermelon? I am thrilled it is watermelon season finally. I use it as a clean snack for any time of day or night.

I am NOT to young for this….

I am 34 years old and I “heart” fiber. I am eating cottage cheese, yogurt and Fiber One right now. I am over joyed I am eating 13 grams of fiber along with my morning caffeine dose. I read labels in the store to check out fiber contents to all the packaged cereals in order to pick the highest fiber. I think we need to consider a new ad campaign for fiber. Stop showing me old grey haired over weight people who are concerned with their colon now. Show me the ripped athlete who wants to stay fuller longer. Show me the REAL benefit of eating fiber and I think there will be a fiber movement across the USA…..which is just apropos

right?

Anyway, I am not too young to love fiber!!!

I am down now the 7 I was up from the trip…..BYE BLOAT!

This week at work has pretty much sucked. I am sure we all feel that way about work, right? It is not the WORK aspect of it but the damned politics inside of it all. I want to just go to work and do my job. I don’t care about who puts what where and why so and so is pissed at so and so. SHUT UP!!!

My new food scale came in..it’s purdy! I am going to be stocking up on Sunday with the food prepped packages. I am doing a "down calorie" approach and have  a new workout routine  as well. Let’s see where this gets me. I have no damn idea why but i cope so much better on lower calories than more food and working out harder…I am genetically lazy. You can see that by looking at my family shrub (trees are tall and narrow, shrubs are fat and low and wide..so are bushes but offering to have people look at the family bush is wrong, unless you are on myspace then all bets are off.)

Ok so new workout began this week, hardest workout I have done yet. However, when I do the HIIT on the bike I enjoy so much how my quads feel after that I would even pay money to feel that feeling! The body weight circuit of the workout does bother my old lady knees after but so far I am coping fine with it.  The weight lifting is well, just that, heavy weights that I lift over and over. What’s not to love, eh?

ah the gift of travel and scale weight ARGH!

ok I am back from training and I am now navy youth fitness certified, which sounds great but we played with balloons…. Wink ok so there was more involved but hey..we did play with balloons.

Weight is up about 7 pounds from 3 days of carbs. You would think at a fitness seminar they would not have free bagels and granola bars, I mean how many apples could I eat? I did not want to drive off the base too far because I did not want to get lost. I found out on exam day that I could have shopped at the commissary as it was on my travel orders…DAMN IT!

So, back to regular program today! I am hoping the 7 pounds is just visiting!

Has it really been 2 weeks?

WOW! Well work was really busy the last few weeks with people trying to train NOW for their PRT…wtf? NOW?? Now you want to be in shape because in a few weeks you have to run a PRT? Why they did not come to the gym say oh….4 mos ago I don’t know.

When I get on the scale I want to say there is no progress on my goals. However, measurements are down and even my inner thighs are looking lean. Hard to share your joy with others when it is your inner thigh which is leaning out….only because when it was fatter I was not having people grab my thighs then..so what would they compare my new tight sleek leaness with??? heh heh heh

I guess I will update with pictures at some point…not of the thigh of course, more all over shot to see where I am at and if I am close to where I want to be. I am guessing about 4% more to lose and I am going to be sated for summer!!!

Hard to think that it is only 4% which is about 10-12 pounds smaller than what I am now…when I have lost so damn much anyway. I know 2 yrs ago i would have said " I would KILL to look like her" if I saw me now…yet the journey continues….
