Day 2 and I Stilll Don’t Have It Together

Ok, I consider day one accomplished and fulfilling my goals, but it could have been better.  Today I realize that I don’t have food to hit my 6 meals and I am back at work again.  Berries, cottage cheese and pecans for 5:30 breakfast —good start, but it is 10 and I am overdo for eating with nothing at hand.  Well I have a trusty jug of protein and some tuna fish in the drawer….that is fine, but I need veggies man.

So I am doing fine, but I need to do some better planning.  Planning is key to my success as I have seen before.

Day 1

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I consider this day 1 of my renewed effort to be fit.  I start the day with a cracked ankle at work for the 6th day straight.  My job is 100% sitting on my ass so an extra day at work is a problem.

Long Term Goals:

  • Weigh 200-220 LBS - Currently I am 375
  • Run 2 miles in a time that passes the ARMY PT test for my age
  • Pushups & situps that pass the ARMY PT test for my age
  • Ride the RAGBRAI

Medium Term Goals:

  • Break 300 LBS prior to January 21st
  • Miss less than 24 days of 1 hour (at least exercise) as of January 21st
  • Miss eating clean less than 6 days as of January 21st
  • Progress pictures every week

Short Term Goals:

  • Drop 12.5 pounds per month on average
  • Exercise 1 hour per day with one day of rest
  • Eat clean 29 days out of 30
  • Post exercises on BB.com
  • Progress pictures every week

Well, that pretty much marks it.  I know that eating poorly feels good in the short run but leads to allergies and depression.  My Grandson must never know a fat Grandpa.

Totally Screwed

Well, I am screwed.  I cracked my ankle on that stupid fall and will not be much good for a bit.  I will continue to swim without using my legs and I will work my upper body.

The Morning Hike

Up at 4 this am and was ready for a  nice hike.  Shortly into it I stumble badly twisting my ankle.  What did I do Karma?

Past Time to Get to Work

Nothing to be said except that I better get back to work.  It will sound strange, but the weight gain does not bother me so much.  The weight feels different on me than before and I know I will drop it faster than before.  There is more muscle than the last time I was at 373…but damn.  No more….now is the time.
