It is Getting Better

My mind is slowly getting right and the diet is coming together.  Reading the posts of people on BB really keeps my mind right and encourages me to stop accepting less than I want and less than I am capable of.

A question for any that are reading:

After falling off the wagon, do you find that exercise or diet gets you back on track?  I know that it takes both, but I find exercise really kicks in my want to eat right.

Diet soda is the DEVIL!

Yes, exercise does drive up the hunger, and eating is fine, but it’s what eaten at those points which matters most. As long as you are eating healthier foods, you might slow your losses when you eat more but you will still lose. Sometimes eating more actually speeds my losses. It’s weird.

Your comment to my blog makes PERFECT sense. Glad I could help. yes, diet soda is the DEVIL. I find results (or rather seeing the regression from cheating) to be more motivating to get back on the wagon, and working out hard makes me that much more determined to stick with it that time.

Kind of a two pronged dilemma. First, if you do not eat right you do not have the energy to exercise. Second, if you do not exercise you do not have the appetite to eat right.
I know you need to fuel the furnace that fires you up but unless you use that fuel up the furnace slows down and stores extra food as fat.
The best way I have found is for an immediate commitment to both. I hit the gym with a full program but plan on having 5 to 6 meals per day, of course 2 to 3 of those “meals” can be in the form of protein shakes.
Not an easy problem but not impossible to conquer.
    Good luck.

you don’t fall off the wagon. it’s all in your mind. example: when you don’t go to the gym tell yourself you are recovering to stay anabolic. (everyone knows cortisol is bad you need time off to lower cortisol levels) recovery means growth. when you eat something that you don’t feel good about tell yourself that your feeding your growth and keeping yourself from becoming catabolic. your tricking your body so that it doesn’t think your starving it. the key is not to continue the bad habits for long. you can turn everything into a positive with your mind.
