Some Things On My Mind

This is just a bunch of free form thoughts that are flowing through my head:

  • Am I looking at the pictures of women on BB.com inappropriately?   Is there lust in my heart as I look?  I won’t try to deny that I appreciate the beauty found in many of the pictures, I honestly don’t believe that I am looking with a lustful heart.  There is a difference between looking at nude art and Penthouse.  My viewing of the women on the site is to view the work that has been done on their physique, be it weight-loss, muscle gain, or definition.
  • What is up with all the tattoos?  I am not a big fan of tattoos but do not think any less of people with tattoos.  No, that is not true.  When I see a woman with a tattoo on the small of their back or anywhere else, I see it as a beautiful work, their body, of art with an ink blot messing it up.  Don’t get me wrong, I know the work and art that goes into the tattoos, but I think they pale in comparison to the work of art that is their body.   All of that said, I would never think less of the person’s person-hood.  I would hire, befriend, learn from, date, marry a tattooed person, but I will never really understand the why.  The good news is that it doesn’t matter what I think or that I know why.  It is really an age/location thing.  If you can explain the popularity, especially the popularity of a stamp on the small of the back, please change my point of view.
  • I know bb.com exists to make money, but what a great site it is.  This site has really helped me focus on my goals.  It has motivated me and introduced me to people that motivate me.
  • I would rather have my body completely tattooed than be fat.
  • While I can’t say I have regrets, I can say that I would do many things differently if I had my 43 years to live again.  I would carpe diem every day.  I would take care of what I have better.  I would have less.  I would save more.  I would be outside more.  I would have a different career.  I would have gone straight through college and earned a PH.d.
  • I am grateful to have been given life and lived in a prosperous nation.

I very much agree with you on the second point. My wife has 2 tatts. Do I like either? No. Doesn’t make her any less of a woman though and I love her just the same especially for who she is inside. Still wish she didn’t have them because as you said the body is a work of art in and of itself and its like a blemish. The artwork itself I admire. I just don’t think the body is ever the ideal canvas for it. Save it for paintings, cars, custom choppers, anything else.

Damn, you sound like your life is over or that you are too set in your ways to change….

I think you’re trying to drive yourself nuts!!!!

    Good Luck!

mmm nothing like a brain dump. Ok here is my two cents. I must admit that there are some pictures here that make you go mmmmm. For me those are male pics but others may find some females fall in that category. I very much appreciate the hard work that goes into a body that is built well.

secondly… I personally like the tramp stamps. Getting one myself that our good friend Alan is drawing for me. It represents me and my struggle and my rebirth from the fires of fat hell. thats right I am getting a phoenix. Thanks Mali… I cant say why others get them. I just want one for me.

I too agree that bodybuilding.com does a great service to us. I am thankful every day.

I have many things I too would do differently. OF course if I did, I wouldnt be the same person I am today.

I really don’t have much to say regarding what you wrote as that would call for opinion which isn’t what you asked for.

These are just your thoughts and after reading them I think it was pretty cool to be able to do that. Thanks for sharing.

    tdinbw,
My life is no where close to over, unless something unexpected happened and I don’t think I am too set in my ways. I am set in my ways, but willing to change. Finally, sometimes I do think in circles to a point of driving myself nuts.

I am simply looking back over my life. You can’t live it over and at 43 there are many things that I don’t have time to really do.

    Dare,
Why a tattoo there? I think I can understand a symbol, a mark that represents the journey you are on and will accomplish, but why there?

  7. Daretosoar Says:

I think it depends on the design. The one I am getting wouldnt look right anywhere else. Plus I like them there. Its just personal taste.
I think its the idea place for a woman to get one.
