Wetter and Colder Than your Typical Summer
Some strange things are brewing in the sky’s above, it’s never this rainy or cold in early summer, it’s a high desert I live in for pete’s sake. What the eff is going on? Last weekend another attempt at enjoying the great outdoors was undertaken and ended up getting soaked the whole time….not too bad with the car camping setup we had but it was coming down for hours on Fri night at Anderson ranch and then all day saturday during the drive to Atlanta via gnarly mountain road. All in all a good time, with hours spent sipping cocktails and beer by the river and later the hot springs while it absolutely POURED down on us. It was kind of cool beign in such a hot spot in water with cold a** rain dumping on our heads, regulating our temps and making the 100+ degree water tolerable for longer.
I’ve yet to kiteboard on water this year, seems strange considering it’s mid-June but I guess the weather gods have other plans for our state, maybe we’re turning into a temperate boreal zone rather than a semi-arid high desert…too early to tell but this much is certain–I MISS THE SUN!!!!!
