My Beginning
Sunday, August 26th, 2007I have just recently tried to shape my body by working out. I’m one of those guys that likes the ‘idea’ of working out but only has that last for about a week. (If that!) Since I deployed here, I was determined to make a stronger effort to work out and I started on the bike machine. I rode that everyday for 3 weeks up to an hour a day. I started to notice that I was losing weight. I tried to then go into the gym on every third day and lift some weights. Nothing too heavy or troublesome to burn me out but just a lot of reps with lighter weights to see if I could tone. I started to! I noticed that my back and legs were getting better. I liked what I saw and I’ve been slowly pushing myself more and more.
I have noticed now that I look forward to working out. I’m getting addicted to the ‘high’ that I have been getting and it’s helping me to keep going. I have been reading various articles to help me with my goals and I found the ad to this site in one. I’m thrilled that I can communicate with others that care about their body. I want to learn how to shape myself. I don’t think that I would be interested in competing but I am interested in looking and feeling better.
So I signed up for this site in hopes that I can use it to track my progress and get pointers. It’s always easier to work out with someone else that can push you. I hope to make some good friends/mentors here so that I can learn what works for me and helps me to achieve that perfect look for myself.
