Time for Re-evaluation

It is now time for a re-evaluation on what I look like.  I can definately tell a big difference in looking at the previous pictures that I took and what I look like in the mirror.  It most def feels good to see that progress.  I have moved into an apt complex that has a small 24 hour fitness room however, they still don’t have everything I would like but, I still get great workouts.  I have to do some things in a different way for example I have to do single arm bench presses on the machine (no freeweights) to be able to do a 5×5 routine.  They do have some dumbbells but only go to 50’s.  Like I said I dont let it stop me.  Soon I will be taking a break since I been lifting in sets & repts at 5×5.  Well thats about all for now….peace

Some Progress

October 10, 2008

I have had some progress since the last time wrote a blog.  I did go on vacation and didn’t lose any fat during a few weeks, so I am behind some; however I started dropping more fat when I got back on track.  I have been doing cardio first thing in the morning before breakfast.  I believe it is working.  I also added some sets to my weight training and some extra protein in my diet.  The combination of everything is working pretty well.  I am shooting for 225 and then I can evaluate from there what I need to do, like change in diet/workout.  Also, I am cutting slowly so I can preserve the muscle, and hopefully gain a little in this process.  Only time will tell.

I have been finding it hard to keep patient!  I know that fat loss doesn’t happen over night but, I started lipo6 a couple of weeks ago and I guess it is too early to tell if it is really working or not.  Has anyone found themselves impatient before to the point of trying a supplement or going on a junk food binge while trying to cut down fat??  If so what did you do to keep yourself from going crazy….lol?  Help me out yall  thanks.

OFF TRACK!

This week I went off track on my diet…this evening I had the urge to eat junk food and did not have the will power to stop myself.  I am a lot better at my will power than 2 months ago however, it still pisses me off when I break down!! If i get off track it is usually with my diet, but the difference is now is that I usually get right back on track were as before I wouldn’t.  I guess I am going to have to do cardio on my off days such as over the weekend.  I am thinking about taking a fat burner to try and accelerate some extra fat loss.  I have came down 10 lbs since a few weeks ago.  I am 265 now (well maybe a few more after tonights junk) and probably need to be around 225 maybe even further than that to get that six pack.  I am getting impatient.  Wish me luck.

The end of another long week

This week i gained a few lbs.  I didnt eat as well as i should have, plus i drank a couple times.  but i still had great workouts, increased my cardio this week also, so i am not going to worry about a couple of lbs.  I am also lifting heavier the past few weeks.  I will probably lift heavy next week, and then go back to lighter weight more reps.  Even though i weighed in at a few lbs heavier my overall fitness got better.  Maybe when i eat healthier for a few days i be right back on track. 6 Weeks

The end of this week marks a couple of things in my life.  6 weeks of lifting, only 4 for trying to lose weight, but anyway and also about 6 weeks since my fiance and I broke up…im mostly over it but sometimes it hits me on the weekends, lifting keeps me sane, so the weekends can be boring because it is my off days.  Also, its been about 6 weeks since i been layed off, which i was actually glad cuz i didnt like my job too much.  anyway…i had a pretty good day in the gym shoulder felt pretty good.  Did more reps than i thought i could on incline dumbbell press, my third set i did 10 reps and first set i did 5 or so…imagine that so i was happy.  It was my second time doing close grip bench press with the bar, and i dont know where the strength came from because i never do close grip bench.  so all in all it was a good day…stronger and i lost a couple lbs this week!

Rest Time

Its the weekend which means time to rest! Especially my shoulder.  I made a mistake and used too much weight for lateral raises after dumbbell shoulder presses, and something felt funny.  Anyway by the end of this week, it is more irritated than when it happened so I hope it can repair itself today and tomorrow.  Monday is a shoulder day for me so I hope I can do something and that it doesn’t keep me from doing chest workouts

The Start

I am 270…and am in need to finally drop down to whatever weight I need to be to have all the cuts, 6 pack, and everything else.  I started at about 280 so I am on a good track.  I didn’t work out for a while.  I normally weight between 245-255.  I was working a lot of hours at my previous job (no excuse) but I found myself just always wanting to sleep.  I was eating wrong such as fast foods, candy, ect.  I have been studying a personal training book and getting things back on track.  I never had a 6 PACK IN MY LIFE!  Wish me luck.
