Well like I said in my previous post, I am taking a little but needed break cuz I am plateauing a bit with my gains and diet. So I have been slacking off on the diet, not too bad though…and no training until Saturday. I cant help but feel like a slob cuz it has been months since I have taken a good break from lifting and diet at the same time. Oh well, I needed it…Thank again everyone for all the kind words and nice comments:-)

I feel kind of corny answering this but I have had a few ?’s wondering why I take down my body pics every so often….I want people to really understand something…being in the top 6 is cool….but it isnt why I am on this site. Some folks it might be..I aint above them, just really far to the side. I am here to learn and help others…thats it. Dont get me wrong, I will compete with some of the top guys in putting up new profile pics every 2 minutes if we are close in hits…but its out of fun. I love helping people…and I like to soak up knowledge about staying in shape. I always get what I want from this site in the end….and it aint from being in the top 6….

I receive a lot of ?’s from people about lifting weights to bulk up of course…Whats good to do for this muscle, etc. etc. I also receive some ?’s about lifting to lean out a certain body part. What I mean is people that dont necessarily want to bulk up, but want to lose fat on their chest or arms through lifting. I want people to know that first off, spot training is a myth. You cant just train one body part and only see changes in that body part and no where else. You cant just bench press and see no results in your shoulders or triceps. This is due to the secondary muscles that have to work to move the primary muscles being focused on. Now back to lifting to "lean out" a body part. If you lift weights in a circuit split or super set, you will burn calories and lose fat…but you also have to make sure your diet is on point 110% You will not get as lean as you could though without cardio. Cardio will get you more ripped up then just weight lifting will ever do. Now, to combine both subjects I have covered. If all you do is go in the gym and do 4 sets of 50 pushups and your diet is not right, you will not get a leaner chest. So if you want to know how to get ripped up…It all starts with diet and cardio, period! No supplements, not just weights, cardio and diet are key!

Well since it looks like I am going to meet with Ford Models next week, I want to stay dry looking…When I carb up on the weekend it takes a few days for the false fat (water weight) to get out of my system…I dont want to show up there looking "not as lean"…So it looks like this weekend is going to be fun…whatever…My brain has been stuck on stupid all week due to lack of carbs, what will a few more days hurt?

Its hard sometimes to always stay upbeat about anything in life sometimes, but then you add in something like making sure you stay up on your diet and workouts, sometimes it sucks. I love working out, I love the diet part of it (when you see results, LOL) but sometimes, SOMEDAYS, it just feels old….But the only thing I know how to do, is press on….PRESS THROUGH IT. I know that its just a rut, and ruts end sooner or later…I like to believe that saying, "Nothing ever gets THAT bad"….Like I said, I "like" to believe it, but sometimes I wonder. Somedays while I am leaning out I feel great, I see results, vascularity, striations, cuts, ALL THAT….then somedays I feel like I weight 100 lbs and am starving myself…I know its mental though. You got to grind it out….Its therapy for me in the most part. Its funny, life can suck sometimes, so what do I do to make me feel better…I beat on my body by lugging weights over and over and deny my body of carbs and calories…..JUST TO MAKE ME MENTALLY BETTER:-) Life is funny huh

Through kind words and people saying I motivate them, is the biggest motivation for me. I know that I am doing right by not only me, but for the other reasons why I have decided to living a healthy lifestyle. My brother that passed away who had a terminal lung disease, my best friend I also lost, my family and friends…I know that they are all proud and would be proud of me. The biggest compliment I can get is people saying I have a "obtainable" physique…One that a person looks at and knows they can get. I dont do steroids or HGH or take a truck load of supplements…I am as natural as you can get. Just good food and hard training…with gob of dedication…It does wonders if you give yourself the chance to succeed at it.

Yes its true my NYC trip is postponed once again…this time until September. My agent highly advised me to wait until September due to the fall season and fashion stuff and advertising picking up….He said it would be very wise of me…so I will listen…but some good news is I might have a appointment to meet with Ford Models next week in Chicago…I dont know too much about modeling but from what I have read and heard, Ford Models is the elite agency in modeling. So I am pretty stoked about that…So NYC will be in September, but I get to possibly meet with a HUGE agency next week…
