Overtraining?
Hey all - I’m in the 4th month of training, 3rd week of a new program - heavier, mostly free weights, lower reps. I’ve noticed some great gains in the amount I can lift and my endurance, plus I can see results in the mirror, but lately I’m exhausted! I haven’t slept well the last 2-3weeks, I toss and turn all night, and some days I feel really run down. Even extra coffee in the morning isn’t helping! lol. Anyway, I think I might be over-doing it, with work and then the gym 5-6 days a week, but honestly, I love lifting the weights!! So, I’m going to try a new workout split, 1 day on / 1 day off. Not happy about it, I like hitting the gym M-F, but the rest day in between each training day is probably what my body needs. Any advice? Thanks for reading!

When was your last serious amount of time off from weights?

Last time off from the weights, about 3 weeks ago I took a week off, right before I started with a heavier trainging program.

try going every other day instead.
this is not permission to watch tv every off day - lol
