85, Oxygen Tank and Grit
Tuesday, February 10th, 2009I got called down to the fitness center from my office upstairs to give an orientation to a new member. The lady was 85 and holding an oxygen tank. I’m thinking "Okay, this is going to interesting."
She told me she had fallen and during the surgery to repair the damage the doctor had cut the nerve to her diaphram thus the need for the O2. She told me she was there to "get back in shape" so she could walk like she used to. All she planned on doing was the treadmill. I demonstrated all the features then had her give it a tray. She isn’t going to be breaking speed records but that is just inspiring.
