chest & abs & creatine question
a little late with the workout today. I was waiting for fedex once again and thank goodness they came at a decent time this time around. Just picked more protein and creatine for my hubby. Talking about creatine has anyone ever experienced headaches after taking it? I started taking it but every time I took it I would get a headache shortly after. So I stopped taking it. Now my husband keeps on telling me I should try a different one or reducing the dosage. I am kinda little (115 lbs) so he thinks if I switch the dosage I wont get the headaches. I dont feel like I need it. Am I wrong here? We were talking last night and we were both comparing biceps right and he felt mine and he was impressed with how hard they are. So he tells me if I were taking creatine I would push my physique to a whole new level. He feels as though I can compete soon if I so wish. I on the other hand think the man needs his eyes checked, lol. I dont know but I feel as though he is my husband he is supposed to give me positive feedback. Im nuts, I know! I dont know...I have a hard time getting it in my head how my body looks right now. I wont even post full pics at times because heck Im not happy with where Im at. To which he tells me..Ok babe you are the one who needs your eyes checked? Blah! Ok enough with the blabbing here. On to todays routine:
Jumped rope 10 min for warmup
flat bench press....3 sets
flat bench flyes...3 sets
hammer grip incline press...3 sets
decline press....3 sets (getting killer results out of these!) &
and ab ripper x to finish todays routine. Oh yes my mojo is definitely coming back! oh yeah! :P
Not sure about the headaches, but I know you need to drink alot of water with creatine supplementation
Jo, I have never heard of creatine giving headaches but some stacks (animal pumps for example) have caffiene pills included which can and will give you brain aches..... Good luck finding the right supps..
I don't know, girl. I;m against it personally... can't really tell you why, but I just have heard of bad things... bloating and stuff...
Are you taking a creatine monohydrate supplement with sugar as a delivery vehicle? I tried MuscleTech's creatine product like that and had both stomach and headache problems. Dropped that and have had zero problems with other creatine products.
I'm ignorant on this. The only supps I take specific to workouts is a pre-workout fatburner to get moving for 5am workouts, and protein powder. The rest are health supps.
Glad your mojo is back, Ms. Philly Chica.
Nice workout Jo. I've had similar issues with creatine. you might look at something like Magnum Big C. I didn't have that issue with that creatine. You're doing awesome work.
Don't know a thing about creatine but I do know you look awesome girlie! Your husband's right!
Ab ripperx...nice one :D
Go Jo!
Yeah, I've had the same problem but with stimulants. Which creatine is he taking? Gaspari's Size-On pre-contest formula gives a good pump!
You know you could step on stage! Iit would take some fine tuning, but you've got it all SIS! The question will be if you want to? Take some time this holiday season and see where you're at after the first of the year.
Ab-ripper has become a staple every Tuesday! Those Mason twists at the end get me every time! :)
You COULD compete~your physique is perfect for the figure stage, Jo!!! Sorry don't know about creatine. Never touched the stuff, tigerlicious!
you want buffered creatine. kre-alkalyn. it comes in purple pills and it's buffered so you don't need to load, no bloating, headaches, etc.
I have been using a creatine product, Creatine EthylEster (C.E.E.) It is supposed to be a more oure form of creatine and gets into your systems and muscles faster. Less absorbtion time, leass bloating. I am about to cycle off of it for a couple of weeks, so don't really know yet if it has had any positive effects for me. I have not had any side effects such as headache or stomach. Only thing that messes with my stomach is protien. Maybe try cutting the dosage/serving in half of what is reccomended (if 5 grams, take 2.5, ect.)
Yeah, I agree with Sparty Girl (BSavage), you do have a physique that can be stage ready. Listen to your husband. Sometimes we men know what we are talking about.
jeff...thanks
Yoop...it does to me. Maybe Jeff is onto something and I need to up my water intake when I do. Thanks bud.
Kathy...thats how I feel at times. Like do I really need yet another supp? Im not a fan of taking too much stuff unless Im sure it will pay off. But ugh bloating does not sound good.
Crabster....no :( I gotta educate myself better about this stuff.
Al....so am I, lol.
Angie....thanks mamacita :D Ab ripper x is growing on me, lol.
anissa...lol
Jay....gotta get back to you on what kind it is as soon as it came he dropped it in his duffle bag and off he went back to work. Jay we gotta get Gaspari backing you up buddy you love their stuff, lol. Awe stop it you are making me cry over here! What can I say ab ripper x works like a charm everytime!
Brooke...the check is in the mail girlfriend, lol.
I just call 'em like I see 'em! If I didn't see it, I wouldn't even put it out there. You should try to attend a local comp. You'll be bitten by the stage bug~guaranteed!
I'd reduce your dose and increase your water intake see if the headache goes away. I usually don't get headaches but creatine makes me retain water like crazy.
Thank you......
Hey, Admin, I am starting my own blog, I was wondering which blog platform you are using? Sorry for the noob question and thanks for you help in advance :)...
Behavioral research discloses that individual's relations at performance are just easier, probably mostly simply because some may be considered somewhat more regular and predictable and therefore simpler to alter to versus the sporadic, the somewhat more extreme and much less regular passionate relationship from the community.
