One strategy that has worked for me and I use it all the time is the "Oh Yeah Pile it On" approach. Instead of awkward moments drawing lots of attention, I simply let the host or coworker give me a slice of the "special birthday cake for Bob's honor" or whatever, and then mingle, hold the folk, take the tiniest nibble, and then when the cost is clear find the nearest garbage can. No one ever notices how much I "didn't" eat and I don't feel guilty throwing it away either!! I also accept invitations to parties, dinners but fill up on the right foods before I leave the house on my good food so I don't end up somewhere starving and then eating the wrong foods because I'm so hungry. You can eat the healthiest portion for a dinner event and then tell the host it was so wonderful and you really are stuffed but would like to take the rest home for later. Then pitch the fat/no good items.

This website and article help through the holiday season since it's a struggle. And people will make a big issue if you draw attention to everything. Just say "Oh yeah it's the holidays" and don't get into discussions with people who are not supportive and just don't get it.

Boy did they go through a horrible time. You don't know how strong you are until something catastrophic happens. It sounds like your friend and his wife are extremely strong people.

This is great..I set all of these steps as my new approach for my new years resolution..
I had about 5 of them already but you gave me 3 more and I wanted to thank you. I have a couple proven weight loss programs that I am using as we speak..They seem very promising so far. If you would like to check some of these out I don't mind..

awesome tips, thanks. Sounds like commonsense, however, most people will still complain about eating and gaining weight. Oh well, to each their own.

Thanks for this, I will pass this on...I have a few female pals who I have recommended to my own personal trainer who helps me with strength training, HIIT and cardio...I see a lot of women in the gym doing mostly hours and hours of aerobics and cardio...when weight training has done me more good in less time seemingly...I only do 3 hours of intense cardio a week, but have found HIIT and circuit training with weight training to be invaluable...glad I haven't been kidding myself that my methods are working faster than most! Lotsa method to my seeming madness...

Hello, everyone! This site is great and I\\\'ve found a lot of motivated bodybuilders here. I have a website at www.mybodysite.com that is not just about figure and bodybuilding but also about weight loss, tattoo, cosmetic surgery and every aspect of body improvement. If you get a chance, come on over and check it out. It might be a nice place to also talk about your goals and successes. You can totally customize your page.
