Quick Question
So I’ve been working out and eating well for about a month now. I see improvements and I feel better but i’m not gaining or losing any weight. I really would like to lose some weight and gain some muscle but will it ever show up on the scale?

train hard and eat more better foods. cut out all the junk and add more protein to your diet

Try not to overdo cardio.. Gains and losses take time to manifest themselves because the body still has a need to equalize first.. Keep at it, and stay away from the scale, it’ll drive you mad and kill your motivation.. Use a mirror, and your clothing to gauge if you’ve lost or gained!

Gotta give it more than 30 days. Bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint. Be patient. Remember the 3 rules. EAT….SLEEP….LIFT. Do some nutrition research in the forum section to help you out. While you’re there, stop by the the workout routines section, too. Good luck!

It is very possible that you are losing fat and gaining muscle simultaniously. Once your body "balances out" like Pete said you will start seeing either gains or losses. Honestly i have stayed at 205 for quite awhile but i can see alot of good changes. now after about 6 months or eating good and working out hard i am slowly losing a few pounds a month. Also it depends how much weight your body has to lose. You look great right now so imagine your ideal weight isnt much less than what you are now. Well good luck and let me know how it goes. And one thing to remember most of all, if your seeing good gains and good changes in the mirror dont even worry about the scale. Good Luck and keep up the good work.

I agree, eat lean and clean…it takes the body time to adapt, enzymes to change, muscle to grow, bones to react and get stronger…and the minimum is 6-8 weeks for this process to start. As you gain muscle and loose fat, you may even see your scale weight go up. Scale weight means nothing. BMI for athletes means very little. Pinch your stomach, butt, trouble areas to check progress. Stay focused, stay consistent and connect with your goals daily and you will make it. Hang in there. Good luck
