Thanks for your encouragement, I had a muscle repair and tightning in my stomach. My Plastic Surgeon released me and told me I was free to return to my regular routine guess he didn't figure I was heading in the bodybuilding direction so I tore a muscle in my abdomen........it sucks!! But now I make sure I tell him more infor than he needs just so he is informed..........

Stay strong, &amp; when u r ready to get back at it GO SLOW. Have a speedy recovery. Take care Bob

LOL! You are not alone in terms of experiencing this problem. That is frankly one of my pet peeves, too. I think the way you find the right trainer is by finding a gym where you see women lifting and lifting heavy. If you find that you are more likely to find a trainer who actually gets it. Sounds like your brother's gym is such a place and you are likely to get the support/assistance you need there. That's not to say that you can't get it at any gym but it has taken me two years to get the men at my gym to finally get it.
Keep it up! You are terrific!

Ok Ms Squat!

I had the same experience - not with them saying those things but rather not giving me what I needed to get teh gains (and losses) I wanted and yet when I started to REALLY focus myself, turns out that I was more than enough

That being said, I am working on becoming a trainer - haha- because I believe I can give the value that people are looking for

and ok what sense does "ewww" make when someone says THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO LOOK LIKE

How. How does that make sense?

Anyway you are fabulous - keep up the excellent work. Very inspiring :)

I saw you paid me a visit ;-) Congrats on the weight loss. WOOHOOOO!!!! That is awesome. I went to a medically supervised program as well to lose my weight. It will definitely give you a great foundation for when you have to do it on your own.

Here's how it went for me: 1st year--easy as 'pie' (though none allowed); 2nd year--yup, lived in temptation village and constant fluctuations, ate what I was craving then back on program; 3rd year--scared s*^%less that I was gonna mess up and go backward. Now, year four, I've mellowed out, I've lost ALL my craving and I'm not afraid anymore. When I gained over my daughter's wedding and Christmas, I wasn't worried one bit. I ate right, just more than I should have, still no cravings and I knew that I'd have no problems taking it off.

I'm confident that you'll get there :-)

Thank you on the congrats!!!!! I actually went to a medical weight loss program in the town I work in. I basically had to leave all of my weight loss ideas behind and put my trust in a doctor who has been in the business for 30 years (make sure you check backgrounds). I have paid countless personal trainers, took countless spin and step classes, but I really needed to address my nutrition and thats what it came down to.
