What we do…
I work out with my wife. Our gym is in our garage; we have a power rack and a couple of benches, plus a wierd machine we got at a garage sale for $50. Oh, and a set of dumbells (10-45), pluse a set of Powerblock dumbells (up to 130 lbs). I stick to basic multi-joint movements: squat, bench, deadlift, chins, pullups, straight leg deadlifts, plus some ab work. I am getting into grip work as well.
I’ve been having problems with my right knee. I saw my doc on 4/9, he referred me to an orthopedist who I see next Tuesday. Pretty sure I have a torn minescus, so I’m probably looking at arthospcopic surgery on it soon. I don’t know how long that will shut down my leg work. I had my left knee scoped 10 years ago, and the recovery was suprisingly long, about 2 months.

really depends on the extent of the injury. typically, if the minescus is simply torn (lateral, medial) and removed, then about 6 weeks, if torn and sutured, about 12 weeks. These timed are based upon healing time, extent of surgical repair and physical therapy.
