My goals - stubborn tummy

I’ve always been active but started making a conscience effort to improve my body last November.  I was your typical skinny girl with no significant muscle tone.  I feel I’ve made great strides since then but now I want to keep improving and bettering my body.  My biggest struggle is my stomach.  It’s so frustrating to see the rest of your body progress and one area seems to stay dormant.  I know in the past when specific areas have lagged behind others it was the result of me not pushing myself hard enough. To test myself, I started last week to make sure I am focused and not just going through the motions when doing abs.  I felt I was pushing myself hard before but now see there’s room for more effort.  When doing weighted abs, I make sure it stings and I’m shaking by the end when holding a rep.  I realized I give up too soon sometimes when it gets a little tough.  However, if I’m not challenging myself to the max who am I to complain when I don’t see change.  Subconsciously I’m worried that I’ll fall back into old habbits and loose the drive to challenge myself.  For now, I have to stay focused towards my goals and give 110% each workout.
