Week one:

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

I finished my first week (Monday-Friday) of my new "plan." The training was piece of cake. I never have a problem with discipline in the gym. The diet, however, is another story. I can eat protein no problem. This no/low carb thing is killing me. I am so exhausted. I am on the CHA diet and I have to say that I’m not liking it. High protein, high fat, low carb. I really think I was losing bodyfat better my way. I was eating oatmeal and sweet potatoes with my first 2 or 3 meals and I was much happier. I will give this another week and see what happens. I have actually put on some weight so I am not thrilled. I also have major cravings this way and think that it may lead to some serious cheating. UGH!!! All this nutrition crap gets so confusing. I wish it were easier to figure it all out. It’s a whole lot of trial and error but I am still happy with the way things are coming along.

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I trained my back and a small amount of chest today. I don’t like to work chest but I did go ahead and lift but with very light weight. I also did some squats (not in the plan). I try to do something for my butt at least every other day. I’m really focused on keeping my butt firm! Anyway, I will do measurements, weight, and pics weekly for anyone who wants to follow along. My nutrition plan is going to suck. No carbs. I only get carbs from my two servings of fruit and my veggies throughout the day. It will take me probably about a week to adjust. I always get a headache when I cut out my complex carbs but I will do anything to lean out! I pretty much pigged out this weekend. I wanted to get my last taste of ice cream. LOL Twelve weeks of sticking to this will hopefully get me to where I want to be!!

I’m going to have a pity party! Wanna come?

UGH! I’m just a little cranky today. I just wish that I didn’t have periods anymore! I get so wiped out, don’t feel like going to the gym, and not to mention the 3-5 pounds of water weight that I put on. I swear to God– I bloat up like the Pillsbury Doughboy! I don’t know if it’s my age or the fact that I’ve had three kids but my cycles have gotten longer and heavier…I HATE IT!! Oh and did I mention that I practically live on sweets when I get my period? I feel like I step forward and then take two steps back when I start my cycle. Ok…sorry. Too much information I’m sure but I just had to rant! I’m sure I’ll feel better by Wednesday or so… at least I hope. I have two full day orientations to attend for Nursing school!
