Almost three months into my transformation….

I feel like I’m not making much change lately. I know these things take time so I am going to be patient. I saw this girl at the gym that has the most amazing body….when I say amazing… I mean AMAZING! I asked one of the guys that works there how long it took her to get like that and he said 9 months of hardcore training. She does weight training 5 days a week and cardio twice a day 6 days a week! UGH….. that is alot of time at the gym. I haven’t had any personal trainers or nutritionists so I can only imagine what changes I could have made if I had help at the gym! Anyway, that is my rant for the day!

I’d say some folks simply have good genetics & get to a ripped physique without getting extreme. Then there’s the rest of us mortals, who have to bust it out, consistently & long, to get there.

I’m in the 2nd group. Been consistently working out since 2002, weights & cardio. As one who turns 47 in Dec, I’ve experienced the metabolism slow down (genetics gave me a slow one to start with). I have to be EXTREMELY self-disciplined to get those abs to pop out. But I’ll get there……

She does cardio twice a day, 6 days a week?????? OMG.

I always wonder what it takes to have an amazing body. Dang.

If you did the same as her, I’ll bet you exceed what she’s done. You look great already with the short amount of time you’ve been training.

I haven’t been following along but just looked at your progress and you should be very proud of yourself. You HAVE transformed your body completely and you look absolultely wonderful! Job Well Done!

    Hi,,

I just wanted to say that your transformation is wonderful!

I have just started my own journey and have had different opinions on the cardio part of working out.. a personal trainer told me not to work out more than 1hour at a time as after that you are only burning muscle and only do 4hours a week but then I see posts like this one where people are doing cardio 2x a day..

Help! lol.. what to do what to do!

    You look great!

This is in response to Pam… I think the personal trainer probably meant no weight training longer than an hour. I do all of my lifting in under 45 minutes and then do my cardio afterwards. Also… I don’t do cardio twice a day all of the time. That was just to drop the weight I gained while on vacation with the hubby.

    hi there jayanne,
just stay consistent and the goal will be reached,
are you weight training in the morning?
and are you doing weights before cardio?
i found this beneficial as the weight traing does burn the glycogen in the muscle,
so then your cardio will burn bodyfat directly,

    be patient, well done.

In response to gear199 yes to both questions. I have noticed that consistency is certainly the answer! thanks!
