I need to quit getting on the scale! What is my deal? I know that changes won’t happen over night but I have been working out and eating right for a week now and I’m actually gaining weight. UGH!! I hope that I am doing all of this right. I NEED to feel my best!!

If your eating right, and working out it sounds like your putting on some muscle. This is a good thing especially in the first week as this muscle will help burn fat in the following weeks and will speed the weight reduction.
Take off from the scale for 2 weeks. Keep eating right and working out and you should be happy with the result

Remember not all tissue weighs the same. The goals are to change measurements and inches, not just what the scale says. Stick with things for a few weeks, see what changed, then adjust your routine and try another few. Its all a learning process but persistence pays off.

I totally gained almost 10 lbs when I first started working out. Then the weight went back to what it was, but i was 3 sizes smaller! Scale is not always your friend. It’s like Trixter said, it’s about measurements and inches.

Thanks for the comments. I can already see a difference in my body. I am not going to dwell on the number on the scale. I know it sounds crazy but I look and feel slimmer already!! I’m even on my period so I can’t wait to see what I look like next week after I have lost my water weight!

Oh, it’s definitely from being that time of the month for you. I never weigh myself about 2 weeks into the month because I know I’m all water at that point.
