Cold front is starting to move through and suppose to get some snow this weekend. Can’t wait for May. 315 felt really strong with that triple. That’s what I was aiming for going into today which is an all time PR but after that set I couldn’t help but put on two more tens and hit a single for another PR. Pain is still very much there but I think I’m getting used to it which is going to be necessary evil for this coming meet. I was able to arch a little more today. The DB Press hurt like hell and stopped after the first set.

Benching felt good, rib hurt like hell. First rep w/ the bands on was really slow on the way down and corrected that and brought it down with much better speed.

Spread my hands out to ends and wasn’t to bad. Couldn’t bring my hands in to their normal position. Started feeling it with 185. Burned the hell out of my back with the back raises and laid on the ground for who knows how long.

Wanted to do standing OHP today but It hurt to much to bring my arm down with that much range of motion. Getting onto the bench hurt the most then getting off wasn’t to pleasant either. I couldn’t do a full range bench as again the ROM was to much but 3 board was okay. I couldn’t get into a full arch and get as tight as I normally could but getting up on my traps a little helped. Got some vid and will upload tonight when I get home. Couldn’t do any back work or delt work. I guess I could have done front raises maybe but I don’t like hitting the front delts directly to much.
It SUCKS waking up at 5am. Waking up is hard but once I’m up I’m up. I really like that my main training is done with and nothing to interfere with it and I actually have more energy once awake then when I get home at night. I’ll hit up an extra workout as soon as I get home as I’ll be right there in the garage. Love that too.

This is for last nights training. Yesterday really early morning I was letting our dog out to go to the bathroom outside and got tripped up. I fell right smack on a decent sized rock right in the middle left side of my back. Hurt like hell. Breathing in deep causes some major pain. Sitting up is unbearable. Laughing is out of the question. Sneezing blows (pun intended). Went in yesterday and looks like I got a nice little fractured rib. Not much to do but time, ice and some REALLY good pain meds. Said it could take up to 8 weeks. I got to get a bar on my back in less then four.
Pissed me off. Went ahead and tried to do some training last night. Putting something on my back was out of the question. So, I decided to do some pulls sumo only and use all the chains I had to help with the initial phase be a little easier and get less strain off my back. Usually I alternate conventional and sumo but conventional was to much bending over and stress on the back. It all sort of hurt but breathing in deep was actually the worse part of it until I hit 365. I actually put 405 on the bar but called it off and just left it there. I have a few pulls on vid and might load it up tonight.

Such a great weekend. Got a lot of work done outside. Moved my equipemnet out of the basement and into the new garage I just got done building on Saturday. That was like three extrea workouts right there.

Floor Presses felt really really heavy w/ 135 and it felt like 225 but by the time I got to 225 it felt really strong and felt like 135. Strange. Made the decision to cut it to singles and go for a good 1RM today. 275 felt great so jumped to 295 and that turned into a grinder but made it this time. Assistance work fried my triceps. Was able to up the reps on the DB Press. I gave myself a little more time between the 2nd and 3rd sets so I was happy with that too.
Back and arms have been really achy the past week so I then went on to do the worse thing ever to try and help and did a contrast shower. Screw that. I’m never doing that again.

Not a very good day. Stomach hasn’t been doing that well since lunch and have felt super tired. Don’t know if it’s the time change, something I ate (5 double cheese burgers nothing I haven’t had before), just coming down with something, or all of the above. Should have just called it a day before I even started. Went ahead and tried it out though. Burping up stuff the entire time until I put the belt on and that pressure just pushed it out of me. Almost lost it again on the 365 but couldn’t stop it on the 425 once I hit the box. Don’t think I would have gotten it anyways. Don’t even know what I was thinking or if I was thinking at all. Have no idea why I loaded it up to 425. I have absolutely no reason behind it. I cut out the puke bucket super set. Don’t really need to see that again.
On a positive note I did a full set of 1×6 on the GHR on my own with out the help of my hands nudging me up. Plus the first three reps on the next two sets. The last two reps on the first set were not that pretty though. After that I just couldn’t do any more. I came upstairs and the wife said I looked like death and looked like I had two black eyes.

It was a great day over at Bill’s. Lot of laughs and some good weight being pushed. I got some good conditioning as I pretty much loaded and unloaded weights the entire time. I wasn’t sure about getting the 305 as by that time I was getting pretty worn out. Speed was slightly better and think that’s the only reason I was able to get the 305 as I pushed through my normal sticking point.
