Started getting things together. Put down 2 sheets of 3/8 in plywood then put another 2 sheets on top of those cross ways and screwed them together. Makes for a good 8×8 base. Went over to Jesup Gym yesterday and picked up some stuff. Got three sheets of 4×6 1/2in thick rubber mats. Wish they were 4×8 so I got the third one to cut to add in the missing area and have a little overlap over the plywood in one section so it’s not so easy to stub the toes as you walk into the area. Their matting is top quality and grips really well.
The 7′ 1500lbs bar is AWESOME!!! Damn sharp knurling and thick. Haven’t had a chance to put on any weight on it yet as my weights are still at the old garage. I will be picking them up this week as I’m itching to use that bar. Also picked up a nice commercial grade incline, decline, flat bench rated to 1,000lbs. Should work great. While I was there I also saw this really heavy duty looking 45degree hyper machine. Checking it out I found that it has all sorts of adjustments and can go from a 45degree hyper to a straight forward roman chair. Then in between those settings I found one that made for a decent GHR. I was sold right there and then on that. Besides it’s a Powertec and if Powertec is good enough for Jay Cutler it’s good enough for me.

Already got the chucks and I just ordered the power rack. Can’t wait to get it. I broke down and couldn’t help myself. Been saving for the past three months for it and ordered an EliteFTS Power Rack. Only down side is it wont be here for another 6-8 weeks. Bummer. I can’t wait to get it. I’ll take a trip up to Jesup here in the next few weeks and pick up a really nice barbell and a bench. Then go get some matting to put down on top of some plywood. I’m going to save up now for the Seguin reverse hyper and GHR.

Been a busy month!! Getting back reorganized now with a more permanent place to stay. I’ll be looking to replace my equipment. I’m looking at Flexion equipment. I’d like to get Each of these.
F-001 Flat utility Bench
F-103 Low Back Extension
F-506 Ham/Glut/Calf
F-200 Wide Base Power Rack

I’m waiting for an email back on how much shipping will be. That might be a killer. I’ll get a really nice bar and some rubber mats from Jesup gym which is about an hour drive away. With that setup though I’ll be in better shape then I was before the flood. I’ll just have to replace my bands, get a belt, and some wraps and I’ll be all set.

Sorry for the late reply.
Good news is we have lots of friends and family. People have been really helpful through all this. We are staying at a friends house right now and will be moving into a house we will be renting out for who knows how long in a couple of weeks when it becomes available. Our house is pretty much a complete loss as it turns out but we don’t know what the city will do and are in limbo on what to do about it. We really just want to get out from under it and move on with life.
Over 95% of the basement walls/foundation on the front of the house caved in and a big 40% chunk of the right side of the basement wall/foundation has also caved in. The left side of the house’s foundation is currently bowing inward and the back of the house’s foundation has a long crack running the entire length. Basically the entire foundation needs to be completely replaced and we have been getting many estimates on it’s replacement and the lowest figures we’ve been getting were around $35,000. On top of that all the electrical on the first floor and basement needs replaced as the wiring was older and had a cloth outer shielding and the outlet panel needs moved and replaced as it was in the basement. Plumbing needs replacing as well. Walls on the first floor will need replacing as well as all the cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen. The figures to repair our house will cost as much or more than the house is worth. The city may determine that our house just needs to be demolished before we can get any permits. If buy outs occur we wont know for well over a year and they will probably only buy out homes in the 100 year flood zone which we aren’t even in the 500 year flood zone. And nope, insurance will not cover anything because we didn’t have flood insurance. Why didn’t we have flood insurance? Because we weren’t suppose to be in a flood zone and were advised by even the insurance people that we didn’t need to waste money on something we would never need!! HAH!
As for possessions we have a 10×10 storage unit we have put everything that we were able to recover and there is still plenty of room to spare in it. Powerlifting related the power rack is completely rusted out along with the barbell. The straps and cuffs to do hanging leg raises were completely ruined. Lost my belt, shoes, all the knee/wrist wraps, mini/light/avg bands, entire westside dvd collection, gym bag, and supplements. I did pull up the weights and they have a little rust on them but wont know to what extent until I get a chance to wash them off and scrap off the little, hopefully little, rust that I can see on them then repaint.
Enough of that. Here’s some pictures taken. Got some pictures during the flood, second major mound of trash that spanned across both lots (yes we’ve had three mounds just like that and that is my hand back there), the hole on the side of the house and the front of the house, and some muck.

Well, at 26ft the water was about a block away from my house. I sandbagged the windows around the basement and the back door and evacuated. At 30ft my street is completely flooded and basement is underwater and possibly up to the first floor. It is expected to crest this afternoon at 32ft and take several days to get back below 30ft and possibly late next week to get back under 20ft. 12ft is the normal flood stage for this area. Won’t be able to get back online until Monday most likely.
They expected 24ft to be the worse this was going to be.

Week 0/day1
B/W: down to 203
May was a wash out, litterally… Past two weeks haven’t touched the barbell once but never fear I’ve been extremely active and completely wiped out. Mentally and physically wiped out. Time to restart back over and get back on track. Got plenty of time before my next meet in Oct. I should be back to full form with in a month bar any other set backs.

Almost didn’t train at all today. Working outside in the sun way to much Friday and Saturday zapped me of all energy. I layed on that bench for a good 30m before I actually grabbed the bar and started benching. Glad I did because it felt so damn good to have 400lbs in my hands and press it up. Granted it was only around 4-5 inches.

I said it already but it’s worth saying again. I REALLY SUCK AT RACK PULLS!! I am so much weaker pulling from pins. Did some suspended GM’s today… Right after I was done with them I was like this This isn’t so bad. By the time I got to work my back was completely locked up and I feel like I need to rip my spine out of my ass to relieve the pain!! My lower back is so tight and sore right now.

1×1?@355 PR?
I had to get a PR so after I got pinned hard I dropped it back down a little and went for 355. My rear started to come up and as I felt it I paused for a second and really concentrated on tightening up to get my butt back down. It worked and was able to complete the lift. Pretty happy about that. Next time I’ll get 365.
