  1. Turkey consumption has increased 116% since 1970.

  4. Six hundred seventy-five million pounds of turkey are eaten each Thanksgiving in the United States.

  6. The five most popular ways to serve leftover turkey is as a sandwich, in stew, chili or soup, casseroles and as a burger.

  19. Most Thanksgiving weight gain is attibuted to second and third servings.
  20. People tend to drink less water on Thanksgiving and tend to drink more alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
