A new Mr. Olympia!!!!

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Dexter Jackson wins!!!! Last night Dexter Jackson defeated Jay Cutler to win his first Mr. Olypia title. Thanks to bodybuilding .com and their webcast I got to see Dexter unseat Jay for the crown. It’s always good to see a Florida product do well!I really thought it was going to be a tough call with Jay missing his mark on Friday but vastly improving on Saturday. I figured we would have another Jay Cutler win filled with controversy.  It was a awesome show with so many guys coming in in spot on conditioning. The top six went as such:

1. Dexter Jackson

2. Jay Cutler

3. Phil Heath

4. Dennis Wolf

5. Tony Freeman

6. Melvin Anthony

This is going to make bodybuilding real interesting next year. Dexter as champ, Jay coming back, Ronnie Coleman returning to the competitive stage, a much improved Phil Heath and Dennis Wolf, the X factor Toney Freeman, and on top of all that Victor Martinez will be back. Oh man! I can’t wait.

Thanks again bodybuilding .com for putting it out there for those of us who could not actually be at the show!!!
