Supplements in conjunction with antidepressants???
So I just gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, and planned
baby girl on Monday. I can't wait to get back in the gym. I had just lost weight before getting pregnant, 217 down to 169 (which wasn't my goal) so I'm itching to get back in the gym. I'm 189 today. Problem is, I know what worked for me in the past but I may not be able to do the same thing this time.
Last stretch, I took Lipo 6 however I am on Zoloft for depression. After I had my now 4 year old daughter, I had a horrible struggle with postpartum depression for about 6 months. So this pregnancy, I was put on antidepressants at 36 weeks as a preventative measure.
I really want to take the fat burning supplements, but it's not worth stopping the antidepressants and being gone emotionally.
I need suggestions. Has anybody dealt with taking antidepressants and a ft burner?? Any
Did you know that nursing burns a lot of calories and helps you recover from giving birth? I don't know how anti-depressants mix with nursing though(?) I think the fat burners are over rated (I tried the Hydroxycut Hardcore) even though I may use them again (you can get the caffeine from other sources). You might check for interactions with the caffeine on your anti-depressant...Calcium naturally helps with fat loss also. The big lifts, cardio, clean eating...small meals often etc....should do the trick anyway...the fat burners are just an extra boost (I think).
Stick with breastfeeding and a well balanced diet (watch portion sizes) and exercise to burn the fat. Believe me, after nursing 3 babies I lost it FAST and I didn't workout at the time. I gained 60 lbs with each pregnancy, btw.
I was just browsing for relevant blog posts for my project research and I happened to stumble upon yours. Thanks!
