I have decided that I want to try my 1st competition late this year. Any advice that I could get from those who have competed would be very helpful, also any recommendations on sups would be very helpful as well.

Well i wanted to make 2 vids today but i only ended up making 1 cause there was no one there to spot or video tape me at the time i was doing bench, so that vid of me hitting 315 on the bench will come next week. I did get the 1 of me hitting the 105lb dumbbells for proof of a 15lb increase from the 90’s on the incline dumbbell press. i know that i can hit more but i won’t increase weight until i am satisfied with 10 clean reps before i jump up to the next weight. my 1st shot didn’t get recorded and thats the 1 that had the full 10 reps, so the vid that is posed is the second take but didn’t make the 10 reps cause i was tired as hell cause i was already at the end of my workout. So stay tuned for my bench press vid next week and hell i might even go for the 110lb dumbbells for the hell of it.

well since i have put on 5 lean lbs i am now able to rep 315lbs on the bench 4 times and i can shoulder press 225lbs 10 times on the smith machine. i won’t do that on the barbell cause i don’t want to jam my spine again, but it just feel so damn awesome to be able to workout with dudes that are well over 210lbs. So i am still trying to put on 5 more for that 400lb bench.

I realized that in order for me to gain some strength so I can make my goal of the 400lb bench I am going to have to put on about 10lbs but its going to be clean weight. I have already put on 3lbs and I have gained some strength cause I was able to rep 315 twice again. So with that plan my goal date has been canceled. Now its just when I hit that weight, when ever that will be.

Well I know that I am not the only person who goes all out with food and cakes for their B-Day. Since Friday I have been taken out to eat and had people buying me all kinds of cakes, especially cheese cake(my Favorite). So now i have to work all that off and I have my bench max that I have been working on for a long time now. My goal is 400lbs but i know very well that I won’t hit that with the weight loss and low carb diets. So what ever I do end up hitting I will still be happy with since I am only 165lbs, but my ultimate long term goal is to get that 400 up there.

On Thursday I had my heavy chest day and i decided to throw a little more weight than usual on my last 2 sets. i wanted to hit 5 reps on those last 2 with 300lbs. i ended up hitting 6 reps by my self on 1 set and 6 with a light tap by my spotter on the 2nd. after doing that i now know that i have gained some strength on my bench and that really pumped me up big time and having guys that are like 2 times my size telling me great job is also great motivation since i am 169lbs and can rep that weight like that. i am now going to add 5-10lbs to my chest workouts now.

I dropped down to 8% BF and gained 3 lbs of lean muscle. That is great and the weight gain is also benefiting me on my bench cause i have also noticed a nice little strength increase. I will be maxing out on the bench soon to see how much progress i have made on my 400lbs bench max goal. A 10lb increase at least would be nice.
