I’m planning on changing things up a little. I’m going to keep it simple, heavy and hard three days a week. The way it’s going to work: Weight training days: tuesday, thursday, saturday. On the first tuesday I will work high volume low reps on Chest and Back with compound lifts such as bb benching , deads, and pullups. On thursday I will work legs entirely. Now on saturday I will hit chest an back again, then the next tuesday again with legs. I’ll try to get some shoulder presses in on my leg days too, so that they don’t begin too lag. Bi’s and tris should get enough stress from the compound work, but I may throw in a set every now and then. I’m not focusing on ab work at this time. I may start doing rack deads for my back rather then regular deads so that my legs don’t get overtrained. I have had success in the past with this routine for chest, so I will incorporate it will my whole body. I’ll post my results in a month or so….

Earlier this year things were going great. I was up to around 185, body fat wasn’t bad, but I was bulking pretty hard as well, tons of carbs. I was hitting the gym before work, around 6 am for 1.5 hours 5-6 days a week. Strength was up there, not the strongest I’ve been but not bad either. Of course, this was after only being back to the gym for 4 full months solid. I took this summer off, in order to change careers, and that set me back severely. Before this summer I was doing real well, 2 a days, and felt great. 2 months ago I took off for another 6 weeks while purchasing a new home and getting moved and re-set up. I getting back to it, but only on the weights 3 days a week, and working my cardio in there with the heavy bag and some sports. I’m not where I was a year ago, which is dissapointing, but honestly who cares other than me. I’m married and settled down, so now it’s basically about keeping me happy with myself and staying healthy, and having fun. I’d like to get back to the 185-190 area, and maintain good cardio as well as low BF. So that’s my new challenge, try to keep it lean and gain both mass and weight while maintaining leaness. We’re probably looking at three years, so lets see how it goes…
