I have not written in here since May 4-geez! Been a busy summer. Completed my Figure Comp in Richmond on May 16-had a blast. 2nd in novice tall and 4th in the open figure. Got the "bug!" I plan on doing OCB Stars and Stripes in D.C. in November. I would love to get a first place trophy and believe I can do it. So, the clean eating, cardio, heavy weights has once again started.
Other than working out, this summer has been fun. My two children swam on a swim team, which means the pool every day and swim meets once a week. They also play tennis. 2-3 times a week (not bad for a 5 yr old and 7 yr old). I need to keep them busy…..otherwise they tease to play Playstation 3 ALL DAY. (Thanks to my husband who bought a playstation 3 for himself for Fathers Day-he needed the Blue Ray capability..uh huh. )
Alright, just blogging a small update here. Not sure anyone reads this, but I can look back and see where I was at what time. Have a wonderful day. (ok, I will. thanks. you too.)

Well, I’m on the homestretch…feeling good. Really craving protein shakes. Amy Kessler has me off of them…all food now. Funny….my first meal after the comp may be a protein shake…that’s coo coo. I’ve increased my cardio to twice a day 45 min each and doing this little butt routine each morning to burn off that extra jiggle. actually seems to be working. I’m not eating any greens but spinach and asparagus with my meals (can’t do broccoli)…last week I had used a few green peas to sprinkle on my turkey and Randy gave me a hard time cuz they weren’t on my diet. So, I’ve actually eliminated those. Had a great bicep and back workout with my hubby today (i consider those my strong areas). All moved in now….kitchen is intact and unpacked, so I have no excuses. Plow through this last 13 days. Well, off to chill with my daughter. 13 days….getting ready.

Alright….the official countdown of 30 days has begun….I am on day 27. 16 more to go. Met with Stephanie Miller in D.C. last week to practice posing and my t-walk. She gave me some amazing tips and I feel much more confident. I’ve also started lifting with my husband in the afternoon and doing my cardio in the morning, on an empty stomach. Going well. that way, right after my cardio is done…I still have 6 meals to go. We also closed on our new house a week and a half ago, so we’ve been packing, renovating, organizing, and cooking. It will only be with God’s help that I find the strength to get through these last 4 weeks. I have moments where I’m totally over it and want to take my kids out for a huge sundae. also, I’m turning in my essay and before and after pics for the Hydroxycut Transformation contest this week. It will have been just about 16 weeks in that contest. Off to enjoy tilapia and asparagus.

Well, 7 weeks from today, I’ll be on stage competing! Actually getting really excited. I am planning on meeting with Stephanie Miller, a figure competitor in D.C. to practice walking and posing. She has a great physique for which I’m aspiring! Diet is well, workouts great. Need to up my cardio, I think. Waiting to hear what Amy Kessler thinks about that. Posed with my husband and Randy today for about 20 min-he was very encouraging, stating that we look great and will do well. Well, out for a night at the movies. We’re seeing Monsters vs. Aliens with the kids. Of course, they all gorge themselves with popcorn and twizzlers. I’m bringing 2 homemade chocolate protein pancakes and 1/4 almonds to nibble on-yum ola!!

Hey!! Well, I’ve been following the diets and workouts that Amy Kessler has me on….going well. I get a little antsy with food here and there, but I have a super awesome support and educational system…my hubby, workout partner, "wealth of info" Randy at my gym. Andrew (husband) and I downloaded "calorie minder" on our iphones this week. It is incredibly easy…keeps track of all your foods, meals, calories, fats, carbs, pro, sodium…it’s such an amazing program. We’re nuts. We sit around each night and compare notes on our nutritional intakes for the day….hard up for a good time I guess.
My best friend has planned a pole dancing lesson/party for me and 5 friends tonight. We’re all going out to dinner, pole dancing, then out for more fun….I, of course, have 3 big bottles of sodium free club soda (whoo hoooo…gettin crazy) to bring along, and although this is in honor of my birthday, I will be the big "DD." So, it should be fun. Looking forward to a salad and chicken breast at my fav restaurant…at least I’ll be with friends and atmosphere.
Well, that’s it for now.

Hit the 21 day mark!! Going well. I was ansty yesterday….feeling like I might be carb depleted. It could be that my kids and husband were eating smores over a great camp fire yesterday. Generally I’ve been able to be around desserts and "unclean" food without wanting it, but yesterday felt different. So I made one of my protein shakes into a pudding….was great, sprinkled some blanced almonds on top and was good to go. Have 10 weeks to go.

Alright….one day away from completing week 2 of the 100% clean diet. Going well. I love eating clean…the only thing is I get a little bored eating the exact same thing EVERY day….I’ll admit. I was kinda surprised when Amy Kessler sent me my diet and it was the exact same meal prep every day. However, I committed, so I’ll follow it. I’m getting creative with my shakes….made a lean body protein shake yesterday-chocolate. I added cinnamon and cayenne pepper. It was great. I’m finding myself searching through my spices to see what I can mix in with the food that won’t add any calories, sugar, or salt. Workouts are going well. Lifting heavy and progressing. I’m stronger than last week. Would like to take a fat burner b/c I can literally grab a handful of fat on my butt cheeks. Curious to watch it go away. I want to be able to grab a miniscule (?) amount of skin, not fat. Had the bodyfat checked last week and it was 15.1%, so that was encouraging. Also, have picked out my suit and contacted a posing coach. We’re gettin there!!! Amy Kessler is great-answers my emails quick and is helpful. I will send her pics this weekend and see if she’ll put me on a fat burner. I’m going to have my hubby take a picture of my rear in a thong as I grab a handful of cellulite….see what she says. Well, if she says still no fat burner, at least she’ll have a good laugh.

It’s been one week of eating 100% clean…feeling great. I need to look in the mirror at my butt every day….that is where my fat is stored. And it is gross right now. Cannot wait to decrease the fat in that area. I start looking at my upper body and back and feeling good about myself….that’s when the slacking begins.
So, here is my written promise that I will look at my ass and squeeze the fat there each day… to motivate myself to keep working hard, especially on diet. I have 12 weeks to go before comp and I am in to win. So, here’s to the next week of eating clean, lifting hard, and grabbing a handful of fat each day!!! (whatever it takes, right)

I have officially decided to do my first figure competition. It is the OCB Pride of the Atlantic on May 16, 2009 in Richmond, Va. I will do the Tall Novice Figure category. I contacted Amy Kessler a few days ago to ask her to be my online coach. She agreed and has formulated a plan of action…including a diet, workout regime, supplements. I am 13 wks out. Started the diet and workout today….so far so good. Almost can’t get all the meals in, but I’m doin it anyhow. Workout was killa….was lightheaded after each set. Did Hams and calves today.
I also have a friend, Randy, who competes periodically…he is at the gym each day and is a wealth of information. He has answered a ton of questions for me in the past yr pertaining to competing. It’s nice to have a support system at my local gym.
Totally looking forward to this journey. Bodybuildling is such a great sport and takes a ton of discipline. Luckily, my husband is on board and 110% supportive. He loves this sport and has encouraged me to win this competition…he fully believes that I will take first place…I’ve started to believe that too. Going for it.
I’m off to eat. To whomever reads this, have a wonderful day.

Not quite sure if I’m doing this right; however, I started Hydroxycut MAX yesterday (1-15-08). The highest reccommended dose is 3 pills 2 x/day. I started at 2 pills 2x/day for the past 2 days and have felt fine. Nausea on day one in the a.m., but I had no food in my stomach yet. I didn’t feel any extra energy-bummer. Maybe tomm, I’ll have more energy being on 3 pills 2x/day. Hydroxycut Max was listed under the supplements (probably not a good thing), so I couldn’t post a pic of it. If anyone has taken this or knows anything more about it, feel free to contact me. OK, enough typing-off to bed.
