Inching closer to my Goal…
Okay! I am a few steps closer to where I want to be.

I want to be on auto-pilot awesome eating, so I am taking the next two weeks to really dedicate myself to making my eating immaculate. I will be playing ‘mother’ to my baby cousin and her best friend soon - they will be flying up from Calgary to visit, and I want them to experience my workouts, as well as a bit of what it’s like to eat clean! Of course, they need to try some of the amazing food that Texas has to offer as well. LOL. So that’ll be fun. They are 15. A small part of me is dreading this trip because I am afraid that I will be the very boring, old cousin who keeps saying shit like, "When I was your age…" and "We didn’t do it like that when I was…", and that the minute I turn around, they’ll roll their eyes and whisper how relieved they are that I’m gone. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! We’ll see how that goes.
Workouts are strong, but I think I’ll come a few workouts shy of my projected 22 for July. I had the one oreo shake, and a bite of stuff here and there, but overall, I think eating has gone well.
Yay!

Calgary? Did your relatives throw darts at a map of Canada when they decided to immigrate? I’ll get the feeling there will be some shopping in those kid’s future.

Hmmm you didn’t mention much about cardio.
Are you going to feed them some of your receipes from your "blender" days?
July 23, 2008 at 8:33 am
LMAO about the blender days….
July 23, 2008 at 10:11 am
Oreo shakes are much better than blender days
Have fun with your cousin and friend! I’m sure they’ll like the workouts, actually. And clean eating really isn’t that boring….Good luck to you!

Any teeny tiny "error" in eating can simply be called "a cheat day" designed to keep your metabolism roaring along! Kudos! And enjoy your trip.
July 23, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Uh, I meant cheat MEAL. I have cheat WEEKS.

Ugh. I know how it feels to be the old cousin (especially when I hear the ‘music’ they listen to).
July 24, 2008 at 5:19 pm
I know that feeling, not about being the old cousin, but about being the old person… I work with an 8 year old and a 16 year old and some of the things I catch myself saying are just like what you wrote about… "When I was your age…" And then I think, What the HECK am I talking about?! Not to mention how much I date myself when I saw things like that. BUT kids are fun, so enjoy your time with them!
Anywho… SO I wonder if you shouldn’t join the challenges that Julofthenile has set up. There is one that focuses on eating clean for 3 weeks and another called Baby Got Back where we work on any part of the backside… Just a thought!

Where are you hiding the Oreos? I’ll trade you for some Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food.
:)
July 30, 2008 at 9:56 am
Wait. Would you take just half the pint?
I’m thinking that with Oreos and a half-pint of B&J’s Phish Food I could make my own Oreo shake!
…
I know! I know! Wrong blog!
