Enough.
Yesterday as I was eating dinner (chicken breast and green beans. Mmmmmmm), I decided that today would be the day that I would stop being so bummed about my family. It has been over a week since it started, and while I was not down the entire time, I have been soooooooo blue since mid-last week that it was just ridiculous! SERIOUSLY. My only sibling and I USED to be so close, and while I told myself we were drifting apart because we lived in different countries, I knew deep down there were other issues at hand. Last week I had to acknowledge them and I won’t lie - I was crushed. But I decided to stop being so damn hurt. My brother in law is SUCH A PIG. I have a few saying about pigs (they don’t all apply here, but). Here they are:
1) For every pig, there’s a pig f*cker. (Crass, I know. LMAO!!!)
2) Never argue with a pig - it’ll only frustrate you and annoy the pig.
3) Never wrestle with a pig - you’ll get dirty and the pig likes it.
Most (all?) of us probably have to deal with ‘pigs’ in our lives. And it’s okay to be sad/angry/hurt about the presence of those pigs.
LMAO!
(Not too sure what I was thinking in this picture!) But Life’s so much more enjoyable when you smile. And if you don’t feel like smiling, fake it til you make it.
I’m still ‘faking it’ this morning, but as it always happens when I put my heart on getting out of my funk, I make it before I know it.
Perhaps I’m already there.
Minus 1.5 horrible days of emotional, I-could-care-less-about-what-I’m-eating, I have been right on the mark! I missed 5 scheduled workouts, but that streak ends today!
Today’s going to be AMAZING. I claimed it! Hope your day’s just as terrific.

I’m SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Hang in there!!

Hang in there, honey!! OH!!! Here’s my yet-to-fail remedy: Go for a workout. I have KILLER workouts when I’m "not in the mood to lift" and I ALWAY feel better afterwards. Give it a whirl and have a great day!

Workout will help a ton. Glad to see you’ve got the right attitude. I like that you’ve incorporated pics into your blog. Makes my teeth sweat…

OK, it seems I’ve lost my sister to a pig too. So I guess you and I should adopt one another. : )
FWIW, I love lifting and hitting the heavy bag when I’m angry. I just let the rage flow. Faster, faster, kill! kill! When I’m done working out, the room smells faintly of smoked bacon. The brother-in-law becomes a faint issue in the background — a ghost pig blown away like a puff of smoke. Wiped away like a smear of grease. Anger management classes just pissed me off. But getting physical works. It’s been years since I’ve punched a hole in the wall. : )

Hey Gloomy Gus! Turn that frown upside down!
Quick: Give me 3 things you’re going to do to make your day AMAZING!

I definitely agree with GJ and MW in channeling that energy into some killer workouts… it’s unfortunate that your sister has someone disagreeable in her life, but what helps me is to realize that there are some things you can control and some things you can’t. Glad to hear you’re realizing that and hopefully it will ‘let go’ of some of those feelings… now go have a killer workout, beautiful! No more pouty face, more happy face with the purty dress!

Are we going to have to do a cardio contest again to get you motivated? :p

A man was driving down the road in the country. He looked over and saw a baby pig in the field. He stopped and picked up the pig. He was driving around town with the pig in the car and a cop sees him and pulls him over.
Cop asks "Hey, What are you doing with that pig in the car?"
The driver says "Well, I just found the pig beside the road in the field."
The cop says" I want you to take that pig to the zoo!"
The driver agrees he will take the pig to the zoo.
The next day the cop sees the guy driving around again and pulls him over. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO TAKE THAT PIG TO THE ZOO!!"
He replied, "Well I did take the pig to the zoo. We had such a good time we are going to the ball game now."

Oh my beautiful friend! I love what you wrote about pigs! It was both funny and sadly true. I’m sorry that you and your sister are drifting apart….that can be really hard. My brothers and I live a country away too…and while we dont talk as much as I wish, I know they are always there. BUT…WOW have I been in a funk for over a month now and am only slowly picking myself back out of it…so my beautiful friend…put on that smile!! Pull up those boot straps!! Stay in the gym as much as possible!! And I know the cloud will lift and leave you with a beautiful colorful rainbow of learning and life!!

Glad you decided to change your day! Hope you had a good workout, complete with a very graceful makeup wipe-off-on-towel to show how hard you worked finale!

you have an awesome attitude! My wife calls me a pig but that is because I am always wanting ***. It’s a three letter word. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out! LOL!!

Where is that frownie pic taken at? It looks very European. In regards to pigs, I’ve been really into studying feral hogs lately. Don’t ask.

Janet, glad you are getting yourself up and at ‘em again! I hate funks…
And that picture in the white dress - have you seen your muscles?!!! YEAH!!

LAME!!! You called dibs on my day, today was supposed to be great for me… lol
you rock! I wish there was something that I could do to cheer you up, the fights with siblings are the worst, but we have them… I say take a one day free lesson at your local fight club to work out the frustrations, or, write them down on paper. Be 100% true about how you feel, and seal the end result. I do that with art, and man it helps! HUGS!!!!!
