3 pounds of…?

Since last week, I gained 3 pounds. THREE. It’s definitely not water, I am not bloated, nor is it that ‘wonderous’ time of month. :P And they’ve stuck around for a few days now, so I’m guessing it’s actual weight that I’ve gained! LOL. I am annoyed by its unwelcomed presence. Grrrrrrrr… Time to start back up on the Lipo 6x again! :D

Someone told me that in my progress pictures, I should try standing with both of my legs straight. LOL. There’s a reason for that, actually! When I shattered my kneecap when I was skiing, it was set in a cast for several months, and I sort of neglected doing my physio properly. Oops. As a result, standing with equal pressure on both of my legs puts an uncomfortable pressure on my hip, so I almost always stand sort of crooked. LOL. :D Ah well. I can’t be perfect. ;) JUST KIDDING!

All right. I have a small confession to make. :D So I was all gung-ho a few days ago about starting my new workout program. But I skipped my workout yesterday. And I am going to skip doing it today as well. LOL. Please tell me how much I suck? :P

Janet!! Sometimes it is important to take some time off from working out. A few days won’t kill you. :) On that note: get yourself back in the gym ASAP!

3lbs isn’t that much. When I add carbs back in, I tend to gain that much in water weight pretty easily. :)

    Okay Janet,
You know as a friend in "THE CIRCLE" I can not let you be a Billy Bed Wetter! Now get that tight little hiney in the GYM and make it Happen…. :) The Only Easy Day….Was Yesterday!! Which way to the stage Rock Star??? Show me!!

    Real Men Have Mass!!

  3. pixiglittrpants Says:

Ouch, that sucks… do you have an imbalance when you walk/run?? Is there anyway to correct that now?

No worries about the motivation, but after 3 days no more excuses! Get thee to the gym!! ;)

When I gain any weight I just tell myself…it’s muscle….it’s muscle! LOL!!

  5. cjacks9 Says:

Not going again today, and it’s so nice in Houston this evening since the rain has stopped.

That’s called Rest & Recovery Time! Ditto on "it’s muscle….it’s muscle!" You’re focused on weights and so you’ve obviously gained that muscle everyone’s talking about.

But, yes, you’ve encouraged me to hit the blog, so I’ll encourage you to hit the gym! Go, go, go!

    Tomorrow! :)

Don’t fret over missing an occasional workout, the rest will do you good. As for the weight gain??? Are your clothes fitting differently? It may be the new fit you rather than the slacker you. Hopefully the fit you will prevail.

I go and leave you a comment about your pic’s positivity and then I read this? Come on girl, those 3 lbs could be anything and I guarantee they’ll be gone in the next two days. You say you skipped and you’re going to skip, but you didn’t say why. Go to my blogs and read the latest one. I’ve always told you to keep your chin up, you’ve told me to keep mine up, so let’s do this =)

  9. Melinda F Says:

Its called muscle and the scale is up to no good, throw it away….go by how your clothes fit rather….you look great, stay focused.

  10. Stormiorsini Says:

haha I am going to agree totally with Melinda here!! Muscle can make it look like you’ve gained…and having seen your newest progress pics…if the scale is up…ITS ALL MUSCLE!!! congrats girl!!

now…YOU SUCK! lmao Ok….you so totally are awesome…but you wanted someone to say it! lol. Again…i agree with the above comments…rest and recoup are HUGELY important and needed for changes to even show in your body!! Dont beat yourself up for taking a few days off…just dont let it turn into weeks or months! lol

BIG smiles and a cyber hug from your Canadian Connection in the Circle!! lol

Yeah, if it’s muscle gain then that’s great. You want those three pounds. If not I’ll take them. :D
