Rainy New England Day

Well, I ended last night strong finishing a great Bi’s and Back workout.  I know, some people hate that combo, but i have seen great results with it.  Today, it has been raining like crazy and tomorrows high is only 62.  Summer is definitely over in Boston.  From this point, my daylight slips away.  I started up teaching again today with a whole new slew of students, some Active Duty, some National Guard and Reserve and we always get a few Coast Guard.  They are already scared when I started talking about the Physical Training program that I run……This one Airmans voice was so shaky, I thought he might pee a little bit.  Either way, they will be running in the morning, with pee or no pee and they will like it.  In the end, they always appreciate it becuase they see I was doing it to make them better and stronger.

Its funny because I always make sure I am working out when they get to the gym, so they see me in my beater before I train with them.  A little ego boost…..?????  yeah…..true story, but it always makes them more nervous, so I get a kick out of it.  Well let me go administer their first written test, so we can get the hell out of here for the day.

LOL! Gawd that’s so funny about the PT part. I loved being the Command PT Instructor, especially when all the Divisions would have to report to me (WaaaAAAyy back in the mid 80′!) and we held PT on the flight deck of an AFS. IT was hotter than hades and we were in the middle of the IO somewhere, make them do those killer abs lying on their backs with the boots on, feet leeveated 6-12" off the deck and do crunches… The noises those whiners would make, hell I did each one and counted them all out. That’s too fun.

The Bi’s or any arms and back splits are great because they are AB-solute polarities and best to work parts of the body that arent related.

You should make them do four corners…You go to some field or basketball court. Split the Stus into 4 groups, they run the whole way around the court/field plus one straight away and do whatever that corner’s exercise is i.e. pushups, situps, flutterkicks, jumping jacks, for about 1 minute and then make them run around the field/court again….they will hate you….but love you at the same time. I ran poor pt score program at McChord, and pretty much everyone lost about 10-15 pounds of fat and passed their PT after about a month of this hellish workout.

People hate Bi and back combo because it’s really tough and it works. I’m doing that like 20 minutes after I hit this "submit comment" button. -HermTheWorm Out.
