A New Year Begins
Hey folks, so a New Year has begun and I am sure we all have made those New Year’s Resolutions to loose the fat, build the muscle, blah blah blah, you know what I mean…..I have always been a believer of not talking the talk but also walking the walk. Many of us make the resolutions for a transformation in our body and accomplish our goals but the fact is its not going to happen by just telling everyone and then not doing it. So my journey begins with a new year to try to loose some of that holiday fat from Thanksgiving and Christmas, LOL, which is not much but hey we all can put on an average of about 5-10pds during the holiday. I am currently in a debacle of trying to do cardio in the morning and weights at night or vice-versa, I just hate the fact of getting up early, I am not a morning person but I don’t like to take so long on doing a workout either you know? Anyways I know I posted this in a thread already but if you have any good methods let me know and I am open to suggestions. Starting Monday I am going on my "healthy eating" plan again of veggies, chicken breasts, lean meats and of course protein shakes!

I might suggest an energy supplement like NO-Xplode (get’s me fired up after a long day before hitting the gym). Also, this is more of a mind trick, but I find that setting my first alarm about two hours before I plan on getting up wakes me from my deep sleep, allows me to have that great moment of realizing I get to go back to bed, and makes getting up two hours later easier because I’m not in that deep REM sleep, which eliminates that grogginess. Good Luck!!!!!!

I’d suggest MyoGenix HyperShock instead of NO-Xplode (which is way over-rated). The HyperShock you’ll get a much better blend, you can actually shake and mix it without your lid blowing off, and it tastes a whole lot better.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will have to check it out on the bodybuilding store here. Does it taste decent? LOL.

Hi Bella, do your cardio right after your weight training. You don’t have to do a long cardio session. Try an 18 minuted high interval cardio training routine. For example, walk on the treadmill for 2 minutes and then sprint for a minute and keep alternating like that till you’ve done 18 minutes. Doing the cardio after your weight training will also use more fat as an energy source as your glycogen levels will be depeleted from the weight training. Hope that helps.

You know i would love to help but I only do 15 -20 min of cardio right before my weight training. I do it only to get heart rate up. I dont do it after workouts because i read it lags the muscle reconstruction process after lifting weights.
