So some problems solved!

So I finally managed to go to the doctor about my constant tiredness. Turns out I have an iron deficiency and so I have been prescribed 300mg of elemental iron a day for 3 months, and then I am to be tested again. He said my engery levels should pick up in a week or two.

A week from now I will also have an allergy test to see if I am allergic to eggs. The more I ate things with eggs (especially in like egg salad sandwhich, and omlettes) I started getting severely ill and so I asked to be tested and he said its possible so we will see. I am glad I singled that out though, but breakfast at school wasn’t really working out :P . I have cut them out since last weekend and I haven’t gotten a stomach ache since, so we will see!

Also in good news, I have lost two lbs this week bringing me in at 174 officially. I had found out the scale here was wrong by two lbs, so I was 176-177 all this time lol. I have been making sure to walk alot and have been trying to watch what I eat, and try not to eat after 7 am, and have been drinkigĀ  lots of water for once. So things are looking up!

Anyway, hopefully I will be able to start running soon once my energy picks up and actually do weights since I have been feeling a little week lately (which its also a systom of the deficiency I learned, I just thought it was because I was tired…actually I guess its all the same). Hopefully I will be able to gain an edge on the competition (heehee) but its also about more then that, and I am learning I need to start taking care of my body in other ways, and avoiding the doctor like I had been wasn’t really smart. Thankfully my aunt had made me go saying if I didn’t go with in the next week she would force me too :P

Just a super quick update

So, first week back to school is done. So far I looove my classes, and my professors seem really into what they are teaching which instantly makes me that much more interested. It feels good to back to student life and I actually respect it this time around. However, my schedule has been crazy, which is alright, just going to take getting use to. I am still in etobicoke at my aunts for getting to school takes me around 2hrs, so I spend 4 hours a day commuting. Its brutal, but I use it to get readings done, or rest haha! Then I have been needing to do a lot around the house lately, so I haven’t had too much time to workout like I thought I would. Though the house was a disaster since we started packing but we have guest over this weekend, meaning it needed to look normal. Next week I know better to get up and workout in the morning, which is really going to kill me I think. That means getting up at 4am some days but I really have to do it. I need the energy haha. So far, I lost a lb this week, so thats good. My diet hasn’t been perfect, but pretty good, and I always take the stairs and walk where I can, so I am sure that has helped a lot.

So the comp has started!

Glad to get going. My back is feeling alright so I am going to work out tonight. I did splurge a lot on the weekend, since minus that odd drink now and then out, I plan on being pretty stick and man oh man I feel like crap. I am still paying for it, but thats my fault since I know my body can’t handle that kind of crap anyway. But its good to start and with school starting tomorrow I am flying high! I am excited for soo many things lol

Fruit bad for dieting? Help?

I eat a ton of fruit and mainly eat just that when I eat clean, and heard to lose weight its better if you skip it, or cut down since it has a lot of sugar, though its the good kind. Has anyone heard about this, agree with it? Think its silly? Should I cut down my fruit intake and eat more veggies instead? I’d like to lose as much fat as possible in my challenge and was wondering if it was worth cutting out some of fruit intake or don’t bother?

So today the youngest one had a spazz at the park and he went to throw himself (once again) and I went to catch him so he wouldn’t smash his head against the ground and taddda!! I felt this funny feeling in my lower back and as soon as I moved ,ouchie! The second time this week. I am really upset about this, can my back be that weak it can’t handle lifting this weight after a year of this? Well thankfully this job is moving to part time with school starting, but its kind of concerning that two areas are strained in less then a week. I just need a vacation!! Well thats my theory anyway. Then to strengthen my back apparently, since it can’t handle the stress of lifting 25lbs anymore. Weird.

lol, starts tuesday, and ends dec. 19th in time for the holiday. He claimed to be the king of comps so its good to have someone who won’t back out. Can I beat him? I hope so! Maybe it will be the extra push i need to push myself to the limits. I am quite the competitive one!

One problem after another, when can I just start??

So, things are still going slow. All I can really do right now is go walking and that really pisses me off. I def. strained a muscle in my back this weekend, since, come wednesday it still hurts. And of course, as part of my job I am still lifting the kids and such so there goes my chances for a fast recovery. Doesnt help the one keeps being super fussy, so I am constantly picking him up and he keeps trying to fling himself. Not soo good for the back. So basically its been a week and half now of my little comp with myself now (kate still hasn’t done her mini test so I figure thats enough said…) and I haven’t really got anything to show for it because I have been ill and now this. I mean, my stomach might look a little flatter, but thats because I haven’t really been able to eat, so as soon as I do that will back.

I don’t know, its just really frustrating. I have my workout planned, my diet planned (and am almost fully eased into the clean eating, its always hard to get use to!). I just need to start and have been waiting too for all this time. Lol, well hopefully muscle strains don’t take tooo long to heal so I can start running or whatever. I want to make the most of my time left before the really crappy weather starts in November/December. Well, I want to be looking good by then! So hopefully I don’t have to wait too much longer. I don’t know how much longer I can take of seeing everyone else running outside while I have a hand to my back saying to my self, I use to do that all the time, why did I stop?

Pat, your getting fat! What happened?

I heard these exact words this morning. I couldn’t help but laugh since its true. She saw me at my slimmest at the end of may so I can’t blame her for wondering why I have gained all this weight. But lol, it just kind of sucks that is shows that much already. But in a week and 3 days I will have more time to exercise since my securing of the extra hour ended up backfiring. Can’t wait!

So I got it checked out,

because it was really starting to bother me (the area where I had my gallbladder removed), and so was the bad taste in my mouth, and spent 6 hours in Urgent Care and they couldn’t find anything in my tests. That is good, but sucks because he had no real advice. He told me to stay away from greasy food for a day or two (when I told him I’ve had to force myself to eat since the weekend), saying that was likely it, and thats it. So hopefully this isn’t going to become a regular thing, and I can get back at it asap.

Anyway just a small update, did some reading into it, since I like to have answers and apparently this happens to up to 40% of people who have there gallbladder removed, so I guess this is just something I have to live with. Joy!

Sometimes

things really don’t go as planned. It’s almost been a week since the comp started and Kate is showing no interest so I don’t think I am going to bother with her being in it, I can do it just with myself. The other problem is all the problems I am encountering already. Like getting sick, work hours and now my flare up. Once in awhile since my operation, I get a flare up where my gallbladder was and you get the same pain (lucky for me its less then the killer pain I got, and know what it should have felt like!). Anyway so that means no sleep and a nagging pain for like half a day. Its just slightly frustrating that every time I am ready to go, something is coming up and the such. Oh well, but just had to say how frustrating this can all be when you just want to do so well lol.
