On Monday I wasn’t having a really good day and I posted on my blog because I needed to vent!!! I never expected to get the amount of support that I did so for that thank you! I am very grateful. I fell asleep with a smile on my face and woke up energized and ready to rock another workout on Tuesday morning.

I even took progress pics last night and I realized that I’m not that far behind compared to last year and I that I have gained more in my legs than I previously thought! Woohoo me :)

This morning when the alarm went off I wanted to die. I’m exhausted, I think that my crazy schedule at work is responsible for that so I decided to sleep in and I will go after work instead. The other good news of the day is that I finally lost a pound lol. It was about time. I was up a pound on Monday at 120.5 and now I’m down to 118.6!!!!!

That’s it for me just wanted to say thank you and tell you all that my grandpa is doing better They are still keeping him for a couple of days but he should be fine.

Have a great day

Then today I took progress pics and they were terrible. I’m nowhere close to where I should be I’m not as lean as I was at the same time last year and I was too soft at my show so I’m really really worried. I know my coach has a plan and I trust him, I trust his new approach for me. It’s my 4th show with him and he knows how I respond to diet and training. He also said that it was my last chance to add some size before my cut so that is why my diet is not so restrictive. I also know that leaning gets easier each time and I should lean faster since I’ve increase my lean mass during off season. He did mention that I would be doing cardio this time around which I didn’t do for the other shows.

I guess I’m trying to convince myself that it’s all going to be ok as I write this but right now I just feel fat lol I know I know that probably makes me shallow but I’m having a blahhhhhh day.

I stuck to the diet and worked out hard. I can feel like crap but I can’t allow myself to let it affect my prep! At the end of the day, it’s another work out down and another day closer and I’m determined to make everyday count no matter what!

This week-end, as I was slowly awaiting death on my couch ( first day on the diet) I got a text from a friend that said : « But you love contest prep tho !!!» And to be honnest at that moment I didn’t . I had forgotten what it felt like to be hungry 24/7, to be sore and tired ALL the time, to be woken up by hunger in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep, to wake up completely dehydrated in the morning cause you’re having sooooo much protein. Do I love that? When I think about it I don’t but now a few days later I remember that I do!!!!!! I really really do. You get into a zone where you forget about the aches and the hunger, it becomes part of the routine and you don’t even notice it anymore.

Since I started competing, I’ve never bulked for that long but now that I’m back into it and not so hungry anymore I remember the fun stuff. How fun it is to see your weight drop, to go to practice on Saturday and chat with the other competitors, to have people at the gym cheer you on when you look tired, to see that twinkle in my coach’s eye after a particularly grueling week! Yesterday I got to do the BESTESTESTESTESTESTEST thing in the whole wild world! ORDER MY NEXT SUITS! Yep suitS I will compete twice here in Montreal and then Miami and I’ve asked another designer to do the suits for the Miami show since she competed with them in the past and she knows exactly what they want! I’m really excited about this!

Being back on BB.com and getting back into competition mode gave me an idea for a new project. I’ve shared it with a friend and I think I might be on to something. No worries I won’t quit my day job, just something I love and I’m passionate about!!!

Have a great day!

Hello my bodyspacer friends!

I left this place about six months ago because I couldn’t deal with the backstabbing and the drama. I guess people forget that this site is about fitness, training and nutrition. I had found this site abour 3 years ago and I had gotten so much support from so many of you. Some people even became real life friends and I couldn’t be happier However when it became more about who was saying what than support and athletes being there for one another I left

I’m really happy to be back. I’ve missed many of you and I am truly happy to get to be part of your lives again.

I’m competing in April and I’m looking forward to posting my progress pics and getting some feedback!

Let the fun begin!!!

I little while back I set a new goal for myself. I weight train regularly at the gym and do very little cardio. I started competing last year and I have been competing non stop. I did the Fame World amateur championship on June 15 and was supposed to compete again next week with the IDFA. However, I have been extremely tired and after seeing how worried my loved ones were I decided to give my body and the people I care about a break and to end my competition season with Fame.

I spoke to my coach who ordered 2 weeks off the diet and training and a year off competing in order to add some mass. Trust me the news was more than welcome but my family and friends. After a week off I was getting a bit bored so I decided to start working on another goal that I have. I promised the #1 person in my life that I would run 5k with him. I never ran more than 5 minutes before I met him so to me it was quite a challenge. During contest prep I would run for 15 minutes before each workout but it was all the cardio allowed. In between 2 comps I managed to run for 30 min but I could never improve my time. I made a deal with a friend of mine who teaches a running class that I would help her with her stage presence and walk if she helped me with my running. So this week-end I met up with her and we ran, she showed proper for and technique and we ran together for over 30 min. I went back on Monday to run on the tread and practice what she had showed me.

This morning I did the unthinkable, I ran outside. It’s a gorgeous day and I live downtown right by a mountain. The mountain is a runner’s paradise. For me it was hell!!!!! After 3 min. I realized that I wasn’t ready to run uphill yet so I turned around and went for downtown. I loved it! Who knew????? I think I might stick to this. I feel great during and after. It helps clear my mind and I feel amazing after.

Me, the girl who went from bitching when my coach gives me 10 min of warm up cardio instead of 8 a fan of running…
