Transformation Challenge!

As I was signing up for the Creadyl/No Beta Transformation Challenge, I got to where you upload your before photos and You want to talk about depression? I wanted to puke!! I no I was fat but the mirrior does not do justice! Seeing my photo with my shirt off was so depressing, I can’t tell you. I work out hard everyday, but I guess I eat harder! Hopefully this is what I need to kick my ass in gear and get my eating habbits right! I don’t like to say (diet)! Check out my progress photos if you want a good laugh and give me some much needed tips for what my eating habbits should be, because it seems I don’t no what the heck I’m doing.

Race on Saturday and nutrition

Big race Saturday in the mountains. 25 miles of pain! I’m really looking forward to it and it should be a fun time. I’ve done one marathon before but not like this, in the mountain where it’s up and down several time.

Still struggling with nutrition, I guess I workout hard but eat harder! I need a plan where I make all my meals and snacks for the week and all I have to do is grab and run, Any suggestions? I need to lose 35 lbs!

My first marathon experience!

It’s Saturday Oct. 11, 2008 10 pm in Scranton PA. I turn into bed and I toss and turn all night, didn’t sleep a wink. Sunday the 11th 5:30am I hop on the bus at the finish line to take us to the start. On my way up to the starting line, I said to myself "I have to run this, what was I thinking".  When I signed up for this and put this game in play I asked about 11 or 12 of my friends to run this with me, and they were all in. I was the only knuckle head that paid ahead of time. One by one they all droped out till it was just me. OK back to the marathon, at the starting line I was nerves seeing all these skinny people and saying to myself again (what the hell was I thinking) anyway, time for the gun to go off. So, I start running at about a 10 minute mile pace (I have a garmin) I’m feeling pretty good and now I’m caught up in the atmosphere and am really enjoying the race. A line of people as far as the eye can see, it was awesome. Ok back to my race, I kept to my pace and didn’t get caught up in the pace of the people around me. For the first 21 miles I felt awesome the only time I walked was at the aid stations (which I was told to do for my first marathon). Then at mile 21 1/2 I guess that was what everyone says is the WALL!!! Everything started to hurt. So, the next 4 miles was walking and hobbling along till that last mile when I sprinted to the finish. I felt like crap untill they put that medal around my neck, then I felt like a million bucks, like I was on top of the world. So, all in all I loved my first marathon and can’t wait till the next one. Oh and today I can hardly walk LOL.

Can’t seem to get my diet right!!!!!!

I thought I was doing good the last 2 to 3 months but diddn’t lose a pound. I don’t want to call it a diet, I want to call it eating right, the way everyone should. It sucks so bad hittiing the weights, running and biking my ass off and still looking like shit. Anyway, the bottom line is, I’m a fighter and need to get it in my head to stop eating like a mad man (just say no) I work second shift and I love to eat when I get home, because I can’t g straight to bed, so I eat and watch TV. I started this week to lift in the morning and run at midnight after work, so let’s see if that helps. Good day all and happy training!!!!

My 1st Half-Ironman is getting close!

I been wanting to compete or complete my first Half-Ironman triathlon for some time now. And finally I say, what the hell, and signed up for the Musselman Triathlon in up sate NY. It’s coming up fast (July 13, 2008) and I don’t no if I’m even close to being ready. My training is going ok but my swimming, well let’s just say I swim like a BRICK. I been riding and running but not so much in the same day, so I may have to wing it when the time comes. And even tho the creek is still cold as HELL I may have to suffer and see where I stand. Anyway, any training advice is welcome for this?

The Arnold Classic was awesome!

Well, the Arnold classic has come and gone. It was awesome as it is every year. Met alot of awesome people, can’t wait till next year and hope you all are there, it’s an experience like no other. If you can get there it would be worth it and you won’t be disappointed……..Hope to see you all there!!!!!!

My first experience with a personal trainer!

I won a contest at my local gym and one of my prizes was 7 free training sessions with a personal trainer. I did not no what to think, I thought I new it all and that I was in pretty good shape. So, I said to myself what the hell, I’m up for new things so, I’ll give it a try and if anything else she (the trainer) is pretty hot. Well, let me tell you, she kicked my ass for 45 minutes, I was embarrassed. I learned 2 things, I don’t no everything and I’m not in as good of shape as I thought. I looking forward to our next session. So, with that being said, change it up and try new things, you will be surprised.

Arnold classic

My favorite weekend of the year is coming. Time to get away, and be part of the world I love, THE FITNESS WORLD!   I just wish I could do it everyday of every year as a career,  I can dream.  Anyway,
