Ah yes, Fall weather may be pretty at times, but man did the gloomy weather kill my motivation! Well, I think it’s a combination of that and me slightly over training. I was dieting really strict along with lifting and doing cardio 5-6 days a week. After a while, my strict diet became taxing on my body. I was lovin’ the fact that I was so lean (I got as low as 13.5% bf) but it sucks that in the end, I have to do it all over again. Well, I guess it’s not that painful since it only takes about a week or two for me to get back to where I was. I wonder how many other people are affected by changing weather….I’m guessing a lot. But I think it was mainly overtrainnig that hindered my motivation. Since I took a little break from working out, I have more desire to lift and get back on track. You know what, it’s funny that once I decided to get back on track, I have THREE family functions to attend this weekend. And you know what that means………..eat! Moreover, my b-day is next month and that will most likely lead to a bit of drinking. But I guess if I stay strict the other 90% of the time it should all be good, right?

So I guess I’ll give this blog thing a try, even though I don’t know how often I’ll keep up with it. I just came back from Cancun a little over a week ago and although it was so much fun, I could not wait to get back in the gym! The first workout that I had after coming home was SO good. It was like I was sweating all of that Mexican food and God knows what else out of me! Pretty sight aye? But I wasn’t being too hard on myself when I was there because I knew once I got home, I would get right back on my eating & lifting routine. My body immediately adjusted well to eating clean and exercising again. I’m thankful for that since I thought I had to undo a lot of damage!Switching subjects……the hardest thing about eating clean (in my opinion) is always being prepared. I know that’s why my vegetables, for instance, always went bad. I would be too lazy to chop them up and make stir fry, a salad, etc. So finally, when I came home from my trip I bought a lot of veggies and chopped them ALL up and put them in their own containers. I even labeled the lids with what each contained and the date that I bought it. I’m so glad I did this because it helps A LOT. Making an egg white omelet was a breeze, I just took the necessary pre-chopped veggies out and threw them in there. No more excuses for veggies going bad or for not eating enough of them!
