i've tried getting the sleep, and I've done it for several weeks, but still can't get in the habit. i have figured that i am not a morning person. the only time i have been good about hitting the gym early was after work, when i worked nightshift. so it was kinda gettting in late so to speak... if you figure it out let me know how. I actually can make it in during the evenings, so mornings are not that important but would save more time for me!! its been a battle!

Getting to bed earlier? You still need your 7-8 hours of sleep! And how's the puppy? :)

Ditto with The Crab. You simply have to suck it up for several weeks, or more, to make this a habit and easier to do. Now it's one of the best parts of my day. Another factor keeping me going is that it's my only option to get in consistent workouts. Lunchtime &amp; evenings are just not open. With wife, kids, working late sometimes, other evening commitments, I can't hit the gym after work.

Some mornings I don't "feel like it", but because it's now part of my routine I get up &amp; hit the gym anyways. I NEVER REGRET IT AFTERWARD. :D

My alarm goes off at 4:00AM so I can make it to the gym for an hour and a half workout, make it home to refuel, shower, change and get to work. The first few weeks sucked, but now it's almost like being a kid and anticipating a big day. I can't wait to get the next one started because I know it will bring me that much closer to where I want to be. One day at a time, one workout at a time.
