Thursday PM: Step Class/ Friday Afternoon: Full Body Workout
Thursday evening I did step class. I really enjoy this class. It's like walking 4 miles in 45 minutes. It's also better than doing a machine. The instructor is very good. You may have heard of Kari Kardio. She steps really fast. Anyway, I do the kickboxing class for her after step. I had two new students. I hope they come back. I went back to doing the hip extravaganza. That's 6 hip exercise on one leg with 10 reps a piece. I have gotten better at this routine so it's easier to set the pace.
Friday was a full body workout. I did 2 , 3 or 4 sets of exercises for each body part.
5 sets of pull ups. I was able to do 9 reps on the first set unassisted. I struggled for the last. I was able to do 5 or six reps on the next 2 sets, then 3 reps on the last before having to complete the sets assisted./superset with dips for chest of 10-15 reps. I also switched grips from overhand to underhand narrow grip to work the biceps.
4 sets of 30 reps of walking lunges with a 60 pound bar/2 sets of abductor leg lifts 20 reps.
4 sets of overhead press behind the neck and regular with 65,65,60,55. The last 2 sets were drop sets to reach at least 6 reps./superset with barbell bicep curl with 40 pounds 15 reps.
3 sets of lying leg curl 60 - 40 pounds 15 reps/superset with adductor leg machine 30 to 50 reps 115-85 pounds
cable tricep pull down underhand 4 sets of 15 together and then separate 50 pounds together and 20 pounds separate/superset with 50 pound upright row with cable.
I was happy about almost doing 10 reps on the pull ups. That V taper is coming. Hopefully, I will be light enough next week to achieve my goal of 10 unassisted pull ups.
