Thanks for all of you who were checking in on my progress. I didn’t quite reach my Oct. 24th goal of 40 lbs lost, but I did manage to get to 22 lbs. I took a couple of weeks off, and now I’m into my winter routine. Right now I’m doing a lot of cardio and total body workouts, which are killing me since I’ve done splits for so long! I’m going to continue to try to cut weight and make a run a the beach goal agani this summer. It’s not too difficult for me to lose weight, but it is difficult for me to lose weight and maintain muscle mass. It seems it’s always one or the other with me. So I suppose that’s my goal through the winter months; cut as much weight as possible while maintaining my mass. I’ll try to blog my progress and take those progress pics I’ve been promising!

Today was another really good day. I didn’t get to walk the dog this morning, but that’s OK. My diet was on point, which is great. Workout #1 was 30 minutes of cardio on the elipitcal. Workout #2 was back. I tried 505lbs for deadlifts, but just didn’t have enough energy. I’m going to try it again fresh in a couple of weeks or so. After my second workout, I mowed my beast of a lawn. Believe it or not, it was an amazing workout! lol. And my weight gain from the weekend melted right off. I’m now down a cool 18 lbs in less than 5 weeks. I’m hoping to be at a 20lb+ loss by the end of week 5.

Like I said, I’m on it for week 5. Today was GREAT day. My diet was on point, and my workouts were good as well. In workout #1 I did 40 minutes of cardio on the eliptical; burned a TON of calories. Workout #2 was chest. I decreased my rest time a bit, which made it a big more tough. I also went back down to 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps. It was a really good workout. I didn’t do cardio afterwards because of my car situation, however, I’m going to take my dog for a long walk tonight and wake up in the moring and either go for a jog or take the dog for a walk. I’m going to bust my ass this week because I feel like this week I’m going to drop a lot of weight!

Today was a decent day considering I had to eat on the road on the way home from Chicago. I didn’t get to workout, but I did get a chance to take my dog on a long walk. I am going to get things back on track come tomorrow. I now have my car situation worked out, and as a result, my workout schedule, and by association, my eating schedule. I plan on doing some MAJOR dmamge in week 5.

422 protein, 2054 calories, 30 carb, 1/2 gallon water

Today was yet another very clean day of eating. Diet continues to be on point. I reduced my calories a bit the past couple of days, and I’m surprised at the amount of protein I was still able to get in. My energy was still high with the decrease in calories, and I haven’t been hungry, which I feared a bit. I was only able to get on workout in today, and it was back. I did numerous exercises and decided to switch it up a bit this week; I’m going a bit lighter and doing 5X20, really focusing on working the muscle to failure. It was an AMAZING workout. However, I did go heavy with my deadlift as I don’t think you can get much of an effect if you don’t. To my surprise, I hit a new max: 490 lbs. I was really happy with that. My previous high was 455 lbs. about 5 weeks ago. After my back workout, I hit 20 minutes of cardio, and then joined a friend for a bucket of balls at the golf range. All in all, another really good day!

Back at it today. I had a few good cheat meals yesterday, but didn’t go overboard. Today I did chest, triceps, and abs at the gym, followed my 20 minutes of cardio. I also had a workout partner today, which was VERY different. I’m just really used to wroking out on my own and at my own pace. Starting here in week 4, I’m tweaking my diet a bit as well. Refer to my previous blog for that. I think I’ll take progress pics Thursday. Bring on week 4!
