413 protein, 1966 calories, 38 carb, 1/2 gallon water
Back at it today. I had a few good cheat meals yesterday, but didn’t go overboard. Today I did chest, triceps, and abs at the gym, followed my 20 minutes of cardio. I also had a workout partner today, which was VERY different. I’m just really used to wroking out on my own and at my own pace. Starting here in week 4, I’m tweaking my diet a bit as well. Refer to my previous blog for that. I think I’ll take progress pics Thursday. Bring on week 4!

I’ve been thinking about this the entire week. I’m entering week 4 of 12 come tomorrow. Thus far I’ve been averaging about 2500 calories a day, and my protein intake has been 475g and above for the most part. I think I’m going to slash 200 calories off each week until I reach about 1500; that would put me at about week 9. From then until week 12 I’ll stay at 1500. I’m going to keep my protein as high as possible with my calorie intake.

282 protein, 3617 calories, 200 carb, 1/4 gallon water
Today was another good day. The beginning of m cheat meals started today a 4 pm, hence the increase in calories and such. However, up until that point I did great! I did my back/bicep workout today and killed it, and did a half hour of cardio. For my cheat meal for today, I had a 12 inch tuna sub from Subway, and got some honey mustard on it. TASTY, but those calories add up quick. I’ll make sure to get to the gym in the morning to try to curb some of the excess calories.

526 protein, 2570 calories, 40 carb, 3/4 gallon water
My diet was excellent again today! I had a conference to go to for work out of down, but I was prepared, still got all my meals in (cleanly), water, etc. However, it did throw a wrench into my training split. I was supposed to do back today and bi’s tomorrow, but I’ll just have to do both tomorrow. It’ll probably be good to pair those together since I haven’t done it in so long. For cardio, I took the dog to the park and ran sprints with him chasing me. It was fun and I got that heart rate far up. I have until 4:00 tomorrow to continue to eat perfectly clean, and then I get a bit of a break. I’m going to continue to try to clean up my "cheat day" though as the weeks progress. Almost done with week 3, and been at it for 18 days. 9 more weeks, 67 more days to go!

518 protein, 2550 calories, 24 carb, 1/2 gallon water
Another great day in the books as far as diet is concerned. I’ve stayed right on point! As far as working out, today I just played a little basketball with the kids that I mentor. I’m trying to listen to my body more, and it was telling me to take it easy. It’s a good thing my day was so busy because I’d probably tried to push through anyway. I may take my dog for a walk later though.

516 protein, 2520 calories, 20 carb, 1/2 gallon water
Today was yet another good one. My diet was on point as was my training. I went to the gym once today, but did various things. I first did som ab work, mostly using the ab wheel. That thing is tough, but I’ve never done anything that works my core like that does. Following that was a shoulder routine. I did a few supersets at the end to get that good burn. I also started my leg training today as I was out for awhile due to an injury. I’m starting pretty light, mostly trying to get ROM down. As I feel more and more comfortable, I will increase the weight accordingly. After weight training, I did 30 minues of cardio. Things continue to go well!

475 protein, 2433 calories, 20 carb, 3/4 gallon water
Back on track today with the diet! I did very well, and made up for yesterday at the gym today. Workout #1 I did 40 minutes of moderate higher intensity cardio on the elipictal. Workout #2 was chest. It was another good one. My strength is back where it was about 3 months ago. I repped 405 on the incline for 4 reps on my last set. Some people in the gym wanted me to go higher since I did it so easily, but I needed to save my strength/energy for the rest of my workout. I had to remind them that strength isn’t my goal, but physique. I have to keep reminding myself of that as well. My last exercise was cable crossovers which I did 10 sets of 10 reps with about a 45 second break in between sets. It was a great way to end the day. Afterwards, I did 20 minutes on cardio on the treadmill, just walked on an incline. After my workout, I went to my place I buy my supplements and a guy I used to workout with works there. He always gives me great deals on my stuff, and is full of great advice. He’s a personal trainer and wants to put me on his website as a transformation story. It felt good to know someone recognizes the work I’ve put in over the past two or so years. He was around when I first started back seriously working out, so he’s seen me in the beginning and where I am now. I must say, week 3 is starting off strong!!!

200 protein, 3000 calories 350 carbs, 1/2 gallon water
I had a decent day today. I got in a 30 minute walk, but the diet was a bit off. My calories and carbs were a bit higher because I had Subway, and later on I had a sandwhich on my sandwhich maker. Everything I ate was as healthy as can be, but not where I’ve been all the other days. I’ll make sure to get back on track come tomorrow. I did better on my cheats, as I had a few cheat meals rather than the cheats day like last weekend. All in all, week 2 was a success! On to week 3!

508 protein, 2580 calories, 35 carbs, 1/2 gallon water
It seems I keep saying it, but another AWESOME day! I’ve never eaten this clean before, and never eaten this consistently either. I’m eating 7-8 meals a day, spread throughout. I am a bit disappointed that my water intake has been a bit low the past couple of days though. Workout #1 today was moderate cardio for 40 minutes. Workout #2 was chest, and afterwards did 20 minutes of more intense moderate cardio. I also weighed myself today. I wanted to wait until Sunday, but oh well. I’m down a total of 11.5 lbs thus far. It’d be nice if that number could be 13 by Sunday, but we’ll see what my body wants to do.

400 protein, 2500 calories, 90 carb, .25 gallon water
Today was a pretty good day. I wish I had gotten more protein in and less calories, but oh well. I’m still on track. I also got to have something a little different; peanuts! The problem is they’re a bit higher in calories for what I’m able (or want) to eat. I also didn’t drink as much water, which I’m not sure why. It just didn’t happen today. Today was my 1 workout day. I did a crazy ab workout and 45 minutes of cardio on the treadmill on varying inclines. Great workout! I did the ab wheel for the first tiem today and it was killer; a lot more difficult than I suspected, but an amazing workout. All in all, today was another good day!
