This has been an up and down month for me. I was SO motivated with everything right up until I beat my cousin in our little competition. Then, for some reason, I felt like I was just going thorugh the motions in the gym, and my diet was a little off. I think my body was screaming for a break from everything because I took about four days off, and WOW did I feel better. The last half of this month has been awesome. My diet has got back on point, workouts are great, and dare I say, I’ve even started running!!! I vowed to NEVER run to just run again after sports in high school, but I felt I needed something different, away from the cardio machines. And believe it or not, I actually am enjoying running. Crazy, I know! I also have been trying NOT to look at the scale so much. I had to refocused my mind around the fact that I’m not necessarily trying to lose weight, but rather obtain a nice physique! So, I’m back on track. Thank you to you all for all of your support, it really does help!

Good to hear that you are back on track! It’s hard sometimes, but good on ya for noticing before it got too out of hand, and doing something about it. Look forward to your updates! Take care!

Well done, keep up the good work. Warning: running outdoors can be addictive! Wait till you get endorphins!
Yeah don’t worry about the scale, it is hard I know, I struggle to not pay attention to it too. I haven’t lost any weight in the last month but I look way different.

Don’t look at the scale if you don’t have to. Since i started my training, i’ve lost 5lbs. That’s it. I can tell you though, some of my jeans that use to be tight on me are falling off! I get on the scale once a week and i haven’t seen the numbers change in over a month.
Good for you on the motivation. This site is a huge part of my motivation. Keep it up!!

Great job listening to your body and knowing when to dial it down to reap the most rewards. I know I find it hard for myself to slow down for fear of loosing that momentum, but sometimes that is exactly what the body ordered. Keep it up and you WILL achieve your goals!!

I totally understand the feeling of needing a bit of a rest. I’m glad it’s worked for you and that you’re back on track. Keep up the good work, it’s all worth it.
