SO I’ve been eating pretty cleanly over the last 3-4 weeks. I’m very proud that I’ve been able to keep this up. I also have kept my intesity on a high level as far as weight training goes, and I’m doing 2 hours of cardio M-F, and an hour Saturday and Sunday. In addition, I’ve been eating roughly 7-8 small meals (dinner is a bit larger) throughout the day, which is about 2500 calories, including protein shakes and supplements. HOWEVERm the weight loss isn’t coming along as I had planned. I know I need to remember to be patient, but I would think that I’d be seeing more loss on the scales. I have noticed changes in my body and how clothes are fitting, but I’m searching for drops in numbers for progress. I’m not sure what to do..continue as I have been and be patient, or change something up? Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m in need of answers people! lol

This past weekend wasn’t the best. I went out with some buddies and drank. On the plus side, I didn’t drink too much because it caught up with me easily, now that my tolerance for it has lowered. To my surprise, I didn’t put on any weight as I usually do when I drink. Nevertheless, I was really disappointed in myself for my slip up, so I decided to punish myself with some grueling cardio the past three days. Good stuff though. Needless to say, I’m back on the wagon and pushing forward!

I so DID NOT want to go to the gym today. I felt lazy and unmotivated for some reason. Needless to say, I went however. When I arrived, I thought to myself, these are the times that will make a difference. Working out hard on days like today is what will set me apart from the rest. Keeping that in mind, I fought through a difficult workout and cardio. Now that I’m home, I’m relecting back on my time at the gym today and am proud of the work I put in! FYI - still eating really clean!

So today was technically my "cheat day". In my previous blogs I noted that I was really looking forward to this day, however, now that is has come and for the most part, now has passed, feel I don’t need it. I ate as clean as I’ve been every day since my last chet day. The urge just isn’t there. I aslo had yet another great workout today. This is an awesome thing. So I’m still going to look at this as my "cheat day", but finish out the night strong and look forward to my next opportunity to cheat (if need be) next Monday!

Today was just a cardio day. This morning I did 45 minutes of interval cardio on the stair master, some ab work, and decided to call it a day. However, I got a bit restless this evening and had energy. I thought that I might as well get in a little more because I’d kick myself later on for not doing so when I actually had the nergy to. So I went back and did another 45 minutes. I also had another successful day of clean eating (can’t wait for Tuesday’s cheat!) I’ve done an excellent job on the diet, but haven’t seen much progress on the scales. I’m sure it will come in time, but it’s so difficult to wait patiently!

Today was my cheat day. I actually made it 5 days in a row of eating clean, and was very proud of that! And when I say clean, I mean really clean. For fear that I may screw the succeses I’ve been having up, I didn’t go crazy today. I ate clean all day until I got done with work tonight and had a footlong Tuna on wheat from Subway. I may have a yogurt or something before I take my protein shake tonight, but other than that, I’m done and back on it again tomorrow.
I’ve also continued to work out hard. I’ve done 45-90 minutes of cardio each day along with weights. Hopefully the next time I post progress pics they’ll show more progress than they have in the past.
And the contest is ON. My cousin and I weighed in last night. He was at 276 and I was at 282. Then end date is 4/6/09 and he doesn’t want to get below 250, so the goal is to lose 26lbs. But as I stated in a previous blog, I plan on embarassing him, so we’ll see what happens!
