"Update:
Hello my birthday was May 14,2008 and instead of losing weight I gained weight according to my last doctor visit- I am now 170 so my goals have been revised. I want to lose the "spare tire" that I have around my midsection."

I am working on getting my weight down for health purposes and yesterday I went to see a dietitian at the VA Hospital based on my heatlh concerns which I will get into later. I am just happy that I am focusing on this part of my life - Beside if my health is not great then I wont be living a quality life which I think all of us need to concentrate on.
Based on my other blogs it has beeen a struggle and it may still be a struggle on some days to focus on my diet and exercise routines. So I am working on it but I have not regressed. I also picked up a weight scale to monitor my weight loss, gain and maintanance levels I am excited since I know basically what i need to do. Every one on Twitter and Facebook that I follow or correspond with have provided me with vital info that I need to know for this journey on a physical , emotional and spirtual level. I will keep you updated on my progress and regression for feedback. Feel free to leave comments, suggestions or ideas based on your professional or personal experiences .
I also did recheck with my oncologist regarding the side effects that I am experiencing from my radiation treatments there is some blood traces of some significance in places there should not be blood that has caused me concern. So I was there at the VA Hospital to see the dietitian and at the same time got my glasses readjusted, picked up a weight scale and talked to my oncologist which was surprising since I did not expect to see him yesterday. So that was very reassuring that he saw me right away and told me that the side effects will pass with time. I will see him in Janurary 2010 if not before . I am hoping that I wont have to see him until then.
Thanks for reading
Again feel free to comment
Until next time

I have been working out more in the last 4 months but I am doing the home routine due to my low finances or I would go to my gym on somewhat a regular basis. My workouts has consisted of 21’s, pushups (reg and elevated ) squat thrusts , and various whole body routines that I got off the internet mainly off Youtube. I am completing these workouts in a matter of 10 minutes. Heavy on the intensity.
Now I have to work on my cardio since I am a little overweight for my height and body frame I am 172 and my goal is 160 lb. . That day will come in the meantime I am working out at home with my ab wheel and dumbbells at an abbreviated intense rate. Hopefully I will be able to add to this as time goes on. The motivation is there but things need to take place of course. Material to write about right ?
Keep pumping

Hello my fellow muscle heads
I have not wrote in a while , and I apologize. Lifting weights has been a very hit and miss event depending on my state of mind. I know it is an excuse but I have been working out at my apartment with my ab wheel along with doing calisthenics sometime using the incomplete set of dumbbells , I have set of dumbbells once that does not have clamps and one that is stuck with 40 lbs and two beauty bells a 4 and a 8lb bell . So right now it is better than nothing/I am finding myself working on more body weight exercises due to not having the motivation ,funds or transportation (limited) to go to my local gym. That would include pushups, squat thrusts and crunches done in a variety of ways.
I am improving on my diet I am eating more healthy-less sweets instead buying more healthy food at the market more fruit and vegetables. I have a staple in the morning which has been a routine Oatmeal and green tea . I do plan on including more protein in that mix . Just need to do it . It might take more time but that is all I have lately since I am unemployed and a full time college student online.
Here is a partial list from memory that I do on days I workout depending on energy levels
Pushups 2-3 sets of 20-25 reps
Ab wheel exercises-2-3 sets of 15-20 reps
One arm db rows 2-3 sets of 12-15 reps with a 40 lb. dumbbell
Today for a change I did
3 sets of db shoulder shrugs 12-15 reps with the 40lb db on each side.
2 sets of light dumbbells curls with the 8 lb. dumbbell
Now granted this very light routine but I am increasing the intensity by decreasing the time spent between sets and exercises at least 1-2mins
I need to fine tune it and I will in time. I need some dose of consistency and motivation to get this started on a regular basis like waking up every morning like clockwork
I am closing at this time if you read this and have any suggestions I will consider them and try them out and get back with you all with the results
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have
Thanks

This is an update on my newfound exercise craze. It is crazy for me since I am not in great shape I am in need of improvement in all areas-after I did a couple days of this cardio intensive exercise-I am going to say I am putting that on the back burner for awhile since I think I got shin splints on both shins so I need to not be so enthusiastic and be aware of my state of fitness for exercises that are of full body nature until I get more conditioned or maybe do one set instead of three and I would have done if I did run out of breath. I have keep telling myself that I need to take baby steps not giant ones. I will get where I think I want to be soon.
I am eating better I am not imbibing on cola or chips as much I am keeping track of that by logging on fitday.com and recording my daily diet and it is working out good so far. I am in need of a good weight scale since my scale is inoperable at the moment. But I do look and feel lighter. I need to see the actual numbers which only a scale can provide and I can record and see the progress. I will probably end up getting another scale. Until then I have to depend on my observation and how my body feels from day to day.
I will close this chapter until next update
Until next time

I just found out about this exercise that is a great strength and endurance exercise-cardio intensive as it may be-it seems prisoners used it to get in shape while incarcerated in their small cell. They are called bur pees and was introduced to the general public by the infamous Mike Rowe of the "Dirty Jobs series on Discovery Channel. I happened to come across it when I was surfing the you tube videos on Mike Rowe episodes. Here is the link

I have been doing for at least the first 3 days and I have only made it through the first 3 sets it is hard especially if you are out of shape try it out you will like it like Mikey

I am search of software that calculates , monitors and summarizes my diet foods along with recording and backing up my data on a daily basis. I bought a new Macbook Pro and my current diet program(Diet Power) does not work on my Mac I am behind on my posting my daily diet based on the fact that I am on this computer more so than my PC at this time.
No excuse but that is where I am now. If any one reads this and if you own a mac or know of a software package that I can use on a Mac that is similar to Diet Power-Here is the link www.dietpower.com it will explain what it is on the home page. I am still the online seller of the product-I just wish they made it to work on Macs
Until next time

I have been posting new photos of my physique I hope it will get my motivation kickstarted
I am elated at the moment due to my new purchase which was a Macbook Pro Laptop
I am taking my photos with an application called Photo Booth and its ok a little grainy but ok
I am a little sore lately maybe I am finding out that I dont recover as well from exercise as I used to. Last time I was truly consistent was in 2002 so I am trying to regain that drive by posting these pics for me and for the people who see or want to see and gain some inspiration Feed back is always welcome.

I am writing this post of my New Macbook Pro which I purchased last Monday
This has put a spark in my motivation to try more harder to get myself in good shape at least by my birthday May 14
I am in the process of taking and posting new pics as I can fit them in. I am going to add another one today to get the ball rolling . I have noticed that I have a long way to go. Since now that I am older and have become more sedentary. The results speak for themselves
I have noticed that there is that six pack underneath that layer of more of me LOL
Anyway I am working on myself physically , emotionally and spiritually each day brings a new challenge for me since it has become a very simplified life vs what It used to be when I was working and working out in sync with each other. But this is my life and the reality is that challenges whether they are big or small have to be dealt with using the tools that you have acquired or learn throughout your lifetime.
My diet is not been structured as much as I want it I have become sorta relaxed in lack of a better term about my diet. Another challenge to work and focus on.
I have learned that I cannot multitask or juggle the many components of my day like I used to
it is takes awareness to another higher level. It becomes a struggle sometimes.
Bodybuilding is in my blood and I am going to work on enhancing on those aspects that I learned over my 20+years of experience (since 1984)
