"Update: Hello my birthday was May 14,2008 and instead of losing weight I gained weight according to my last doctor visit- I am now 170 so my goals have been revised. I want to lose the "spare tire" that I have around my midsection."

Will I have a healthy year?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

ITNewibie

Well that is the big question for me -This year was a rocky one on all levels I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in March and  it motivated me to think more about my state of physical and mental health. It posed a challenge to reflect upon my bodybuilding accomplishments and it keeps me humble and happy for the moment. I am working out more since that has happened and I am getting my physique in decent shape.

I rejoined my gym -it is a very bare bones gym -no flash and I really don’t care for the health club scene, although I did train and work as a personal trainer in that environment  -it is a slow process and I don’t have all the amenities available ,that being a car, money and motivation. I have made it at least 3 days of the week. where it used to be 5-6 days a week. I am on a month to month membership no obligation except to be there to work out. Cardio and endurance training is going to be my priority since I did gain some unwanted weight so I am thinking I need to lose 10lbs ,I am at 165 and I want to be 150-ish.

My diet will of course need to be changed since I have been more sedentary from not working and going to school online from my home. I will try to just do it and not think about whether I want to get up and make a oatmeal breakfast in the microwave for 2 minutes and drink green tea -Simple right ? Work in progress.

The blogs profiles and comments I have read on this site have been very inspiring for me and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Happy New Year

I am aware that I have not posted in a while. I have been busy with school online. I did restart my training as of last month I have been going since October I am trying to keep motivated. It is better than it was this time last year. I am starting  to get my my general physique back.

I am also aware that after my hernia surgery in 2004 it will be a bigger challenge to get my belly down. I was looking at my waist and I am not happy but those pics on my site will help me as well as the posts ,profiles and comments I read occasionally. I will try to be more active on this blog and the rest of the site. I do have a break from school until Jan 5 so maybe I can be more active until that day Any suggestions to instill motivation and pondering
