Reflecting on the past….

I started looking back today..  It was 4 months ago that I tipped the scale at my all time highest weight of 159Lbs. And just when I didn’t think it was possible to feel any worse about myself, a client at work asked me if I was "Expecting my first child?". I abruptly told the woman I was not pregnant, but the damage was done … she was embarrased and speechless .. and I was pretty devestated. All my friends tried to boost me up, but those are some damaging words that just repeat over and over in your head.

That same client came in to my work this past week. She couldn’t even look me in the eye. I wondered though if she noticed the 20Lbs I lost since our last ‘encounter’.

It feels so good to say "20 Lbs". When I reflect on the past, it seemed like today was so far out of reach. Amazing how far a little determination can get you.
