Carb Cycling
I've started looking into carb cycling recently and I'm not so sure it's a good idea for someone like me. I'm not looking to compete or make fitness a career. However, I am interested in new ideas and techniques to try to improve my own fitness. I' not sure I understand carb cycling completely at this point, I've just started my research. Tell me, is this a good idea for someone looking to shed body fat, but not weight? Will it work for this goal? Also, will the low carb days have a detrimental effect on my muscle gains?
Carb cycling is amazing for shedding body fat, but it takes alot of dedication on low carb days. When you do more research and try it you will know real quick if it works for you.
Carb cycling really doesn't do anything. If you are trying to improve performance and keep calories the same or less, just cut out some fat and or protein and replace with carbs. Let your daily carb intake match your average daily activity; if you burn on average 400 kcal from cardio, then get at least 100g carbs
